WiFi Remote Control For PC 4+

This app works on the media centre control but not 100% on the media player. There is no itunes/quicktime control altough you can use the apple remote that is free for itunes. Application launch does not list as many as mentioned. Just hope the app I had to install to get it going is not going to affect my PC. A lot of trust in the apple store. Mouse option sometimes has a very delayed start. not worth the £3 I feel.

My own personal app of the year so far!

This really is a great app. Please note to use it you have to install the iReciever app on your computer for this app to work (go to the mbpowertools website to get this). Once the wifiremote apps on your iDevice, and the iReciever’s installed on your computer you just need to connect the two together, and youre off.

I find the air mouse a bit odd to use, as you tilt it to use, but theres also a laptop style touchpad which I love. Theres a set of controls for your media player, making this great if you have a home media server hooked up to your TV at home.

You can make custom shortcut buttons or keyboard buttons (if you’ve got a laptop without a numerical pad on the right this app could be boon to you if you are using a spreadsheet), although I’d like to see the ability to run several shortcuts in a pre-defined sequence to allow automation of common tasks.

Finally theres an application launcher screen that runs your common apps, such as internet browsers, email client on your computer etc.

All of this is great, and means you can in practice opperate your computer anywhere you are still in wifi range, handy for example if you use your computers speakers to give music in the garden, and want to skip a track.

Also as a side note its also good for practical jokes, and making your partner think their laptop is possesed, and doing its own thing, complete with mysteriously moving mouse pointer!
