Yes, it seems like AMD Download page only has drivers for Windows 10.
I would either go and ask at a Ubuntu Forum like this one which might help concerning the same Laptop processor:
also this thread which shows which Linux OS works with your processor:
Or ask at one of the leading Linux Websites:

Thanks, but my laptop is using Processors with graphics, rather than hybrid graphics.
I have tried many linux distributions, but none of them work normally

What you need to do is upgrade your kernel version to 5.6 +, i’ve managed to make kubuntu 20.04 and 20.10 work with kernel 5.8.

so. i somehow managed to update my kernel to the latest one and now i can get my external monitors to work but not the laptop display. when i do look at it, the AMD hardware isn’t recognized and i’ve not been able to install the amdgpu 21.10 drivers — it seems that AMD itself hasn’t updated their drivers to work with the latest version of ubuntu as well.
so the combination of an older kernel and no support YET from AMD for the linux drivers means that whilst you can make it work you proabably shouldn’t It seems that the next iteration in April will support hybrid graphics in AMD GPU’s better, so till then, my 4600H/1650 GTS laptop is just an Nvidia device at this point. (my dreams of dual monitors with my laptop display in the center, just like in windows is on hold) total newbie with ubuntu so this is what most likely keeps me from getting it going.

[SOLVED] Issues on Ryzen 4000H
Post by bruce744 » Sun Sep 06, 2020 12:05 pm
I’m having a lot of issues trying to run Linux Mint or Ubuntu on my HP Pavilion (Ryzen 5 4600H, GTX 1050, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd). I was able to initially get it booted into Linux through compatibility mode. After going into the device manager and enabling it to run on the latest nVidia driver, it will boot, but I get a notice saying hardware acceleration is unavailable. Then simple tasks like opening Firefox with 1 tab makes the CPU utilization about 50 — 80% and system fans run quite fast. It will not recognize external monitors. Bios is updated to latest version.
I read somewhere else that Ryzen 3000 users experienced similar issues when they first came out. Anyone else have experience running Linux on a Ryzen 4000H chip?

Welcome to the forum, bruce744.
Can you please give us information about your install by entering this command in a terminal:
Enclose the results between [ⅽode] and [/ⅽode] code markers by selecting >from the mini toolbar above the textbox where you type your reply. This will let us know how Mint sees your hardware and give us an idea if the Nvidia driver appears to have installed properly.

Be advised, these are results from a live usb. I deleted the install because it was not functioning well. I can reinstall if need be.

The graphics is showing you have the Nvidia/AMD hybrid. The Renoir device driver, listed below as N/A, needs at least the 5.7 kernel to be installed. The LTS kernel for LM20 is 5.4.
Graphics:
Device-1: NVIDIA GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 3 GB Max-Q]
vendor: Hewlett-Packard driver: N/A bus ID: 01:00.0 chip ID: 10de:1c91
Device-2: AMD Renoir vendor: Hewlett-Packard driver: N/A bus ID: 05:00.0
chip ID: 1002:1636
Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.8 driver: ati,fbdev
unloaded: modesetting,radeon,vesa resolution: 1920×1080~77Hz
OpenGL: renderer: llvmpipe (LLVM 9.0.1 128 bits) v: 3.3 Mesa 20.0.4
compat-v: 3.1 direct render: Yes
For advice on getting the newer kernel installed and the modifications which will be necessary so you can use each of the two graphic drivers, read this thread Can’t get two displays working. In it I discuss the limits of what I know and someone with much more experience than I have posted after me with advice. Your cpu and gpu are slightly different that the original poster in that thread, but are close enough the advice should still be applicable.
More and more people are using Linux Mint on the Ryzen, Nvidia, AMD graphics combination. Although it is not at the plug-and-play stage to get things working, people are able to find success. A successful install requires device and display drivers for both Nvidia and AMD Renoir. Take a read through the information in the link I provided and let us know if you have questions/concerns as you go through the installation process.
