Samsung and Apple may have tablets with mobile broadband connectivity but these do not offer phone functionality and therefore cannot be used as a primary device for making calls and browsing the web. Using the Tablet for Calls Over Cellular Network

For those who are not bothered with the sheer size of a tablet and care more for browsing the web and consuming content such as movies, TV shows and music during their commute than making phone calls, these are tablets with phone and voice calling functionality. Having access to a full size screen, at nearly 7.0-inch or 8.0-inch as well as bigger battery capacity, lets you browse to your heart’s content with enough juice to last all day and more. The trick is to pair the tablet with a good Bluetooth headset, one that also lets you make calls and accept incoming calls.

These mobile devices come with 4G LTE or 5G connectivity as well as voice call support. With the right contract that includes voice service or talk time and SIM card, you can make and take conventional phone calls straight on the tablet and leave your smartphone at home.

Since the publication of this article, manufacturers are dialing down and removing tablets with phone functions. Both Samsung and Apple have their ways of mirroring incoming calls, allowing you to take calls on the tablet instead of the smartphone. It requires that your smartphone be logged into the same cloud service and the relevant settings and apps enabled.

Calls Over Social Media or VoIP

New cellular enabled tablets do not support voice calls. They do however offer uninterrupted data where there is signal. Therefore, they can be used to make calls over social media and Voice over IP using mobile data instead. Basically, you need the right free calling app to place a video or voice call. Apple’s Face Time, Google Duo, Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Viber and Instagram are such apps. They require both the caller and the callee to both have the app and account.

Давно думал себе преобрести планшет 7″, чтоб в нем было все — блютуз, вай фай, GPS, 3G инет (с симки а не с модема), можно было смотреть видео. Цены на подобные планшеты ужасно кусаются, я уже не надеялся найти что-то подобное, но китайцы видимо прочитали мои мысли и в конце года на рынке появилось такое устройство.

Представляю вам этот планшетотелефон (я его так называю, потому как по размерам это планшет, а начинка от телефона, причем достаточно мощного.) Это устройство — настоящий комбайн, в нем есть все, что душе угодно, перечислю попорядку — GPS, BLUETOOTH, WI FI,3G, ANALOG TV,DUAL SIM CARD, FM RADIO.

Посылка была отлично упакованна, не первый раз заказываю у этого продавца, с упаковкой всегда все супер, коробка вообще не помялась, вобщем дошло все в лучшем виде.

В комплект поставки входит: зарядка под USB кабель, гарнитура, защитная пленка для экрана (у меня почемуто было 2, хотя должна быть одна, спасибо китайцам ), мануал на английском языке.

Сам аппарат выглядит так:

Под задней крышкой, сделаной из алюминия, скрывается батарея на 4000mAh, 2 слота под сим карты и слот для micro SD карты, там же прячется и один из динамиков.

В нижней части аппарата спрятана телескопическая антенна для ТВ, хочу заметить, что с ней надо быть очень осторожным, она хлипкая, можно её легко сломать.
Надо заметить, что качество исполнения планшетотелефона на высоком уровне, ничего не скрипит и не болтается, нет зазоров и прочих косяков.
Предвидя некоторые вопросы, читающих этот обзор, попробую ответить на них заранее.
Экран: 5-ти точечный ёмкостной мультитач, яркости вполне хватает, нормальный угол обзора, могли бы поставить матрицу с разрешением побольше, хотя в принципе мне за глаза хватает. Сенсор очень чуствительный.
bluetooth: работает нормально, гарнитуру подхватил легко.
GPS: очень быстро нашел спутники, секунд за 30-40, до этого отработал A-GPS и определил примерные координаты. Спутников аж 11 штук нашел.
WI FI: очень мощный, работает там, где остальные мои устройства теряют сеть.
FM RADIO: только с гарнитурой, ибо она используется как антенна.
ANALOG TV: прием мог бы быть и лучше, но для этого нужна антенна побольше, думаю решу проблему установкой антенны на крышу авто, всетаки в машину покупал.
3G: 3g инет работает, скорость не замерял, но вроде норм.
Звук: достаточно громкий и четкий, басов от такого устройства требовать глупо.
Скорость работы: быстрый, для телефона даже очень быстрый, Fuit Ninja и Angry Birds просто летают, пробывал еще Zombie killer, тоже идет но подтормаживает слегка. Относительно скорости работы телефона в меню — тоже все летает, телефоны на основе MTK 6516 просто улитки, по сравнению с этим.
Работа 3G и 2-х сим карт: по сути тут все так же как и в любом другом 2-х симочном телефоне, но тут же есть 3G. Так вот 3G удет работать только в нижнем слоте для сим карты. Всё это дело реализованно на базе одного радиомодуля, и если пользуешься инетом, то дозвонится будет проблемно, но звонки всетаки иногда прорываются. Более детальную проверку провести не удалось, всвязи с отсутствием нормально работающей 2-й сим карты.
Фотокамера: качество снимков весьма дряное, лучше ей не пользоватся вообще, более менее снимает на солнечном ярком свете, в комнате уже намного хуже.

Ну а теперь о плюсах и минусах этого устройства.

Минусы:
1.не работает и не ставится flash (возможно если пошаманить заработает. Ролики с youtube показывает, через приложение Youtube)
2.итерфейс связи с компом работает через USB 1.1, скорость 512 килобайт в секунду — о перекачке фильмов с компа на карту устройства через USB лучше забыть — реально бесит, на дворе 21 век а тут USB 1.1
3.хлипкая ТВ антенна.
4.ужасная фотокамера.
