Соединив свой смартфон (планшет) с автомобилем USB-кабелем, вы получите возможность существенно расширить функционал инфомедиа-системы, сделав пребывание за рулём более комфортным. Поддерживаются мобильные устройства под управлением двух наиболее распространённых операционных систем: iOS (Apple) и Android. После установления соединения в вашем распоряжении окажутся дополнительные карты местности и программы навигации (например, от Google), учитывающие загруженность дорог при прокладке маршрутов, интернет-радио, подкасты, расширенный доступ к телефонной книге (включая показ фотографий абонентов на центральном дисплее, если они есть в базе данных) и работу с CMC. Многие задачи можно ставить и решать с помощью голосового управления (Google Voice или Siri): введение целей навигации, вызов абонентов, прослушивание и отправка текстовых сообщений (CMC и интернет-мессенджеров). Голосовое управление на смартфоне активируется длительным нажатием на соответствующую клавишу на многофункциональном руле (или с помощью экранной клавиши).

Помимо Apple CarPlay™ и Android Auto™ пакет протоколов обмена информацией App-Connect включает технологию MirrorLink™, позволяющую «отзеркалить» содержимое экрана смартфона на центральном дисплее автомобиля, что существенно расширяет число используемых приложений.

Обратите внимание: инфомедиа-системы поддерживают обмен данными со смартфонами, но не гарантируют его, поскольку процесс коммуникации в каждом конкретном случае зависит от большого количества факторов.

Использование онлайн-сервисов на инфомедиа-системе, подключённой к смартфону (планшету), ведёт к увеличению трафика на мобильном устройстве. Оплату расходов осуществляет пользователь. Будьте особенно внимательны в роуминге.

Would you like to use your smartphone apps securely and conveniently in your vehicle? Thanks to App-Connect, that is easier than ever. It allows you to conveniently use selected apps and content right in your Volkswagen. They are transmitted to the display of the infotainment system and can be comfortably and clearly controlled within your line of vision. That makes it incredibly easy to access music, news, maps or audiobooks, for example.

How to get the apps in your car.

Volkswagen currently offers three interfaces for connecting with smartphones, with numerous options: Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™ by Google and MirrorLink®. The wireless connection option for the Ready 2 Discover, Discover Media and Discover Pro navigation systems makes the use of Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ by Google particularly convenient for selected vehicles. To avoid distraction, only certified apps can be started during the journey.¹

With CarPlay™ by Apple, you can control selected apps from your iPhone while driving. Using these apps is as easy as it is from an iPhone. Phone, news, music – all at the touch of a button. You can even operate the system via voice command if you so desire. The wireless connection option for the Ready 2 Discover, Discover Media and Discover Pro navigation systems makes the use of Apple CarPlay™ particularly convenient for We Connect-ready vehicles. The availability and use of MirrorLink™, Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay™ and other third-party apps varies by country. “App-Connect” is already supported by many mobile phones and Volkswagen works together closely with major smartphone manufacturers to promote the widespread support for App-Connect technology.

Thanks to Android Auto™ by Google™, you can safely operate applicable apps from your smartphone with an Android operating system while driving. You can control everything via voice commands using Google Voice™ and you can, for instance, play songs through Youtube Music™, Pandora or Spotify. Many other apps are already supported. For selected vehicles equipped with Ready 2 Discover, Discover Media or Discover Pro navigation systems a particularly convenient wireless connection option for Android Auto™ by Google is also available.
