Create a Bootable USB

1. After installing Rufus simply select the ISO file from the file manager and accept all settings when the popup window appears.
2. Select MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI and If your laptop has UEFI bios then select the other two options.
3. For the Filesystem select NTFS option and select if your PC has UEFI bios then select FAT32.
4. The default Cluster size option should be selected.
5. Make sure all three options including Quick Format, Create a Bootable disk using and Create extended labels and icon files are selected.
6. Finally, start the process and this software will automatically format and create bootable USB flash drive.

Change boot-order to boot from USB in Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UN

• Turn on your Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UN
• Now Enter UEFI (BIOS) through pressing ESC or F2 key repeatedly during boot.
• In the ‘Boot‘ tab you have to Disable Fastboot.
• Press F10 to save & exit.
• Immediately press ESC or F2 again.

1. Create Partitions

• Option “Use as” should be “Ext4 file journaling system” and mount point as “/” (Root)

Now you have to create the Home Partition

4. Select Timezone, Keyboard Layout, and Login Credentials

Помогите найти все драйвера на ноут Asus ZenBook

Кое-как поставил Ubuntu 20.04 не работает звук (не слышно), яркость экрана не регулируется, шумит кулер — мощность процессора не регулируется. Используется ли видео карта — не понятно.

Как это всё пофиксить? Есть ли какие-то драйвер-паки сразу для всего?

Должен работать звук, ибо даже для видео все есть. Разве что в alsamixer проверить, потому что изначально новая карта может быть заткнута в mute режиме.

Я ubuntu 14 установил, потом обновлял до 20, в предыдущих версиях звук был. А в 20 нет и в списке устройств аудио вывода пусто.

Это не ко мне. Я предпочитаю Void musl. И да, убунту стоит попробовать обновить до версии 20.10 если 20.04.1 (или 2) уже опробованы.

Ты операционной системой ошибся.

Покажи выхлоп uname -a . У меня на относительно свежем ядре под openSUSE звук от Harman нормально работает.

Попробуй какой-нибудь апстримный live-дистрибутив, fedora например. На предмет звука. Скорее всего проблема Ubuntu-специфична.

А чо не dmesg | grep Error ? И вообще у него может нужна фирмварь, что вряд ли конечно. А вот фирмварь может не дружить с новым ядром это да, такое на вафлях выбает.

По порядку, сначала версия ядра.

На новый проц накатывай 20.10, или лучше вообще роллинг какой-нибудь.

Единственное, не ясно почему в инструкцции предлгают качать ядро руками, а не просто добавляют ppa. Видимо, чтобы случайно не обновиться на самые свежии ядра, на которых всё сломаться может.

Но ноут свистит. Как сделать его тише, чтоб проц не грелся, как его притормозить?

Прежде всего проверь в каком режиме работает процессор: sudo cpupower frequency-info .
Если это не powersave, исправь ситуацию: sudo cpupower frequency-set -g powersave .

Если после этого продолжит жужжать, то установи lm_sensors , выполни sudo sensors-detect , если такая команда вообще есть, потом можешь смотреть температуру командой sensors . Если температура заметно ниже 70°C, а ноут идёт на взлёт, то можно просто понизить скорость вращения с помощью сервиса fancontrol , но я им не пользовался ни разу, тебе придётся погуглить самому. А если температура высокая, то в общем случае достаточно будет установить thermald и удостовериться, что он запущен, он сам всё сделает, скорее всего, но может понадобиться и поконфигурять.
