Industry’s first 1-stream 11n & Bluetooth design on Half-Mini Card
With the growing demand for both WLAN and Bluetooth in portable PCs, Atheros has developed the industry’s first 1-stream 11n plus Bluetooth combo solution on a Half-Mini Card. The AR9002WB-1NGB delivers the 11n performance of Atheros Align’s AR9285, the popular single-chip 11n 1-stream PCIe solution featured in notebooks and netbooks of seven of the top 10 PC OEMs (as of Q309). This market-leading 11n solution combines with Atheros’ Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR solution optimized for PCs, which is upgradeable to Bluetooth 3.0.

Atheros Universal Wireless Cooperation
Atheros new WLAN and Bluetooth combo solution goes beyond coexistence to enable cooperation between WLAN, Bluetooth and even 3G technologies co-located on PC platforms. To support this new level of radio coexistence, Atheros has engineered a suite of advanced wireless techniques to deliver Atheros Universal Wireless Cooperation, consisting of channel protection and timesharing mechanisms, custom 3G coexistence optimization, and Atheros’ proprietary WLAN/Bluetooth Coexistence Agent.

Single-board efficiency
By combining WLAN and Bluetooth on a single board, the AR9002WB-1NGB offers a 20% RBOM reduction vs. separate WLAN and Bluetooth boards. The single board design enables sharing of elements such as the PCB and antennas to reduce duplication. The AR9285 integrates the MAC/baseband and radio transceiver, as well as the power amplifier, low noise amplifiers and antenna switch – the entire RF front end.

[Solved] Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1ng Windows10 Limited Connectivity

While browsing through different websites and forums, i just found out that “Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1ng” have issues with windows10, as there are no official drivers are announced by the manufacturer for windows10.
anyhow as my followers know my passion is to provide solutions for all known issues. By following steps described below you can resolve this issue, and your internet connectivity will be back.

1. Restart your computer while holding SHIFT button on your keyboard.

2. Your PC will restart and enter into advanced startup mode, on this screen click on troubleshoot.

you are done.
if your connection drops out alot , change wirless router channel from auto to 11. and it should fix it.

Does this work too if my Wi-Fi connection is stable but slower after Win10 upgrade? My Internet connection speed is 60Mb/s – Win 8.1 works at full speed. After Win10 I have 15-25Mb/s Wi-Fi but full speed Ethernet. But my girfriends older notebook after upgrade still works at full speed – what the hell? Do you know if that help? I have Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter.

try to update latest driver from manufacturer website, not by windows update

Thank you for your answer 🙂 My girlfriend has older notebook (so it should have older card to) and it works perfect. But my notebook works just like I write in my previous post.
I tried different driver and still no luck. I hope that Redstone 2 (or how they call that) fix the problem.

I am not that computer savvy. How do I change the router settings from auto to 11. Is this something I do from a laptop? Or, is it something I can actually see on the router?

Could you please give me a step by step instruction. Since I last wrote this I have been all over the internet writing questions about my continual losing of my connection and I have been working on solutions that are getting me nowhere. So, I am back here.
Once again a step by step process would be easier for me.
From your instruction, I assume that I go to network and sharing center, access my adapter then somehow find the rest?

Ok, I understand what you are saying now. But, I may have a problem completing this task since this is my landlords router in her bedroom and they are not having issues with connecting, only I am.
Wouldn’t other devices in the home be having issues if it was just a matter of changing the channel? I mean, I have a free government phone which is really horrible in many aspects, yet even it can connect to this router here…. So, first of all «THANK YOU» for your guidance. I am not extremely computer savvy, but, I am good at following directions and a quick learner. With this said, is there «any» thing else I can try first?

I also failed to mention that I did not try your first method until just now; going into advanced startup mode and following the steps. I just did so but something went kind of wrong. So, when I pushed number 7 and the laptop began to restart itself, I gave it at least 5 minutes before I decided to push the button on the laptop to turn it off then push it again to turn it back on. I did this because the screen seemed to be stuck. Should I have waited longer? More importantly did the action get cancelled out b/c I did this?
