The default ClickShare Base Unit’s Wi-Fi and Web Configurator default password are:

    Instructions of how to find your unit’s Wi-Fi are given here: See [KB8045] The default Wi-Fi password is clickshare (all lowercase).

Note In case you have forgotten the Wi-Fi password, please contact the administrator to provide it or reset the password. The Wi-Fi password can be reset in the Base Unit web Configurator.

Due to the self-signed certificate on the HTTPS address, you will need to dismiss the browser’s warning before being able to continue. Note that this warning is normal, and continuing will not compromise the security of your Base Unit, installation, network or personal device. More info on this can be found in the ClickShare Security white paper.

The default user credentials (username/password) for the Configurator are admin/admin (all lowercase).

If you have lost your password, please reset your ClickShare Base Unit to factory default settings or ask the administrator to do this, this will restore the default password.

What is the default password for ClickShare WiFi and admin access?

How can I log in to the ClickShare web interface? What are the default passwords?

Answers

The password for the WiFi is «clickshare». After activating the WiFi connection, the admin interface can be accessed via the IP address of the router (192.168.2.1). The default access data is: User = «admin» and password = «admin»

Our Barco ClickShare is currently not responding at all. The lamp is continuously red, it is not accessible on the LAN, nothing is displayed on.

This article describes how to connect to your ClickShare Web Configurator both via Base Unit Wi-Fi and wired IP.

ClickShare Configurator is a web-based tool that allows you to access and manage your ClickShare Base Unit settings. See the video tutorials for an overview of the available functions.

  • Wi-Fi settings;
  • LAN settings;
  • Firmware update;
  • Wallpaper update;
  • etc.

Connecting to Base Unit’s Web Configurator point via Wi-Fi

This procedure can be followed for the Base Units operating in the standalone mode.

  1. Connect to your Base Unit WiFi (or SSID)
    Find your Base Unit SSID in the list of available Wi-Fi. The default SSID to connect to the Base Unit is ‘ClickShare-‘.
    Detailed instructions on how to connect to the Base Unit’s Wi-Fi are mentioned in the How to connect to your ClickShare Base Unit Wi-Fi.
  2. Enter the password (default is clickshare)
  3. Open the web browser (e.g. Google Chrome) on your laptop and enter the default IP address 192.168.2.1
  4. Enter the login credentials, accept EULA and click OK.
    Username: admin
    Password: admin

Connecting to Base Unit’s Web Configurator point via wired IP (or wireless client)

This procedure can be followed for the Base Unit’s operating other than the standalone mode.

  1. Open the web browser (e.g. Google Chrome) on your laptop and enter the wired IP of your Base Unit.
    To connect to the wired or wireless interface of the Base Unit, you can either find the IP address of the Base Unit on the splash screen (if displayed — see note below) or via the ClickShare Desktop application.
    The wired IP is only visible if the Base Unit is connected to the LAN
  2. Enter the login credentials, accept EULA and click OK.
    Username: admin
    Password: admin

Finding the IP address of your Base Unit on the splash screen of the Base Unit:

  • CS-100(H), CSE-200(+) and CSE-800

When not turned off in the web interface, the wired IP address of the Base Unit can be found on the splash screen of the Base Unit, either on the bottom when the default wallpaper is used (See item #2 for the wired interface and #3 for the wireless interface in case of wireless Client mode on the CSE-200+) or in the top left corner in case a custom wallpaper has been configured.

By default, the network information is not shown on the splash screen. To be able to view this information on the splash screen, you can change the configuration in XMS or the web Configurator of the Base Unit, under Personalisation > On-Screen ID > Show network info. This information will then be shown under the instructions window when no one is sharing.

Finding the IP address of your Base Unit via the ClickShare Desktop app:

  1. Open the ClickShare desktop application on your personal device.
    ClickShare Desktop app can be downloaded and installed from here (no admin rights required)
  2. In the ClickShare application, click on the Select meeting room and select your Base Unit from the list.

By default, the meeting room name is what will be shown in the list and if this is not configured, the Base Unit’s SSID will be shown. When not changed, this is «ClickShare-» followed by the serial number of the Base Unit

Note If the unit is not on the network or is not reachable by the device used to connect, it will automatically change your device’s network to the Wi-Fi of the Base Unit. This is indicated by the following message.

This will open a window with all information on your Base Unit and ClickShare application. Click on the Base Unit’s IP address to open your default browser and connect to the ClickShare Configurator.

From ClickShare firmware v1.8.0.6 onwards, the Network Integration tab (under the Wi-Fi & Network menu) has been removed from the ClickShare Configurator and has been replaced by a Buttons tab (under the System menu).

With the release of the firmware version 1.9.1, the option Enable over LAN has been removed from the Base Unit WebUI. See ClickShare v1.9.1 features & Notes.
