Battlefield bad company linux
17 апр. 2016 в 14:19
Hi I prefair to use linux over windows. And I don’t want to have to swap each time from systems. Only to be able to play the game. I tried to install it with wine. But the game is too demanding.
But trackmania stadium works fine on linux (steam and trackmania for windows installed trough wine). I managed to install steam on kali linux 64bit (normal steam, created for linux). It was a lot of work. Really, they should consider to add everything what’s needed by default to the source code. But too the point.
Games that are compatible with steamOS/linux work 100times better than on windows.
And I really want to be able to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 on my asus ROG G751jy running Kali linux. Dual booted with windows 8.1. As windows 10 is spyware like ubuntu. Most of the time I play rust and ark. that work 100times better on linux than on windows (It has a more smooth gameplay on linux and everything loads 50sec faster than on windows.). Basically. I want to be able to play the best bf game untill now on my linux system. (I know that it’s the best as I own bf bc 2 on ps3 and pc. Played a ton of hours with it first on ps3 now on pc. I have bf 3, 4 and bf hl on console and pc. On pc I bought it on ♥♥♥.com for pennies. And I didn’t rlly play it. I have played those games only like 1h on pc. on ps4 I have played those games a lot. But bf bc 2 is the best title I have played and will still play untill there will be a real battlefield title released. I hope bf 2016 will be that battlefield.
So please release bf bc 2 for steamOS/Linux and MAC. Thank you
Battlefield Bad Company 2 + Wine
Прикупил себе тут только что вышедшую игру Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Wine ругнулся что у него нет xinput1_3.dll, скачал скопировал в .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Guide
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a first person shooter that will immerse you in destructible firefights with realistic weapon physics, land vehicles, air vehicles in singleplayer and multi-player environments. In other words. Bad Company 2 is amazing!
Multi-player has not yet been tested for this guide.
Follow my step-by-step guide on installing, configuring and optimizing Battlefield Bad Company 2 in Linux with PlayOnLinux.
Note: This guide applies to the Steam version of Battlefield Bad Company 2. Other versions may require additional steps.

Before you can play Bad Company 2, it will need to run with DirectX 9
/home/username/Documents/BFBC2/
Open settings.ini
Change line: DxVersion=auto
to: DxVersion=9
Note: You can also manually adjust the graphics quality
Rule of Thumb:
High settings = More detail, lower frame rates
Low settings = Less detail, higher frame rates
Conclusion:
One you force Bad Company 2 to play in directx 9 you will be able to play the singleplayer campain without serious issues. Sometimes the initial loading of a level can be slow and stutter, but after it loads should play smoothly on decent hardware like my GeForce GTX 950. I initially tested Bad Company 2 on my Geforce 550 Ti, but there were too many frame rate issues and stutters. My Geforce GTX 950 was able to handle the game on high settings and still played smoothly.
