The trail camera hardware is excellent but this app needs some work. Please add capability to manage cameras over a WiFi network not connected to smart phone only. Also please add alerts when connected to camera for movement detection, this will allow notification of owner that camera is recording action. These two things will enable true remote management with the ability to be aware of activity. Basic functionality is there but looking forward to upgrade, with current setup you must be in both Bluetooth and WiFi range of camera for access.

When they say remotely review, well, that’s almost the truth. I have to be within 10 feet for it to work. Could just be the camera hotspot is just that pathetic.

It’s good except one very important thing

Overall I like the hardware. The software though has a major bug. You cannot use the app to delete all of the video/images on your camera’s SD card at one time. You’re supposed to be able to but it doesn’t work. Instead, you have to do each individual item
which takes forever. Please fix that.

Bluetooth+ for Blackmagic 4+

Works perfectly and very useful. The watch app is great also. What would make the watch app even better would be to use the rotary wheel on the watch to control focus. I could then mount my watch on the handle of my shoulder rig for control of start stop and focus from my thumb.

Would love to see the following.

The ability to control playback from the app — useful if you have the camera on a jib or in an inaccessible location and you want to review a clip through an external monitor without messing with the camera.
Reposition of the autofocus icon a little further up on the focus page. The app keeps switching pages instead of focusing the camera due to the icon location. It’s also a little close to the record button. It would also be great to have the option to ‘lock’ any page in place that you’re using to avoid accidental swiping to another page. I use the app on a phone mounted to the gimbal to control the camera and in particular the focus page which works very well, but occasionally it’s too easy to accidentally swipe over to another page when you didn’t mean to.

I bought the app for my BMDPCC4K because, by comparison, the official BMD app was far less featureful. Seeing the «stills» button made me jump for joy as that was a feature I have longed for. The only feature I think it’s lacking is a timer feature for the stills function. Even the typical 2s, 5s, 10, and a 10+2 would tick all the boxes. One other suggest off the top of my head is to consider using up more screen space by making the buttons bigger and have less spacing between, but with clear borders. Great app!

EDIT: I have thought of one more thing, is it possible for the app to intercept volume up and volume down button events (like how the built-in iOS app does it) as this will enable some bluetooth remotes to work and for the app to function as a relay.

WiFi Camera — Remote iPhones 4+

This app works great for what I need it for — remote viewing and picture taking between an iPhone and iPad. One problem I have is that every time I take a picture and review it afterwards, I lose the connection between both devices. So I then have to go back over to the other device and reconnect. if there was a way I could snap a photo, review it, then go right back to viewing the remote device, I’d gladly pay for this app. Maybe something like the ability to set up trusted devices that auto-accept connections from each other?

Amazing work!

This app is really helpful when I need to paste KT tapes on my back single-handedly. Hats off to the dev who keeps improving it over the years.

Garbage pure ugly garbage

I actually bought this app based on an Apple review online, suggested by a so called “Genius”.

This app is nothing more than me Alexa “drop in “call. It looks exactly the same. You cannot control one device or the other. You can only see what is going on.

Had I want to use the Alexa drop in call, or just used iChat. it would be the same thing.

It’s not a remote! Not at all..

I’m asking for my money back from Apple. You don’t deserve my money. You should be taken off the store. Total rip off.
