The lighting systems are great. Love the effects it gives my RV. The connectivity with the app works well too.

But the interface and overall user experience of the app is extremely dated and clumsy. The app could use a serious interface complete redo to bring it to current standards. It just needs some serious polishing.

Should be better

It’s not convenient to have to reconnect to the controller every time you want to change the lights. Why can’t it stay connected?

The controller uses BLE — Bluetooth Low Energy. BLE consumes only a fraction of the power of Classic Bluetooth. BLE extends the use of Bluetooth wireless technology to devices that are powered by small batteries such as smartphones. Bluetooth Low Energy is an «always off» technology. It transmits short packages of data and is not able to support audio streaming. As such it is perfect for devices such as our LED controller. What makes BLE different is that unlike traditional Bluetooth devices, you DO NOT «pair» the controller with your smartphone. Instead, when you want to use it you will connect to the controller with the APP running on your BLE equipped smartphone. When finished, you’ll disconnect.

Won’t connect

App was working fine when I first got it. Now it’s a crap shoot if it’s going to connect to the controller. One day yes . next day no. Very frustrated with this app. Ready to take if off and connect the remote control key fob controller that I had before.

This app needs fixed ASAP!

  IMPORTANT (Color flipping solution)

  If your colors are flipped so that for instance yellow is purple and so on, play around in the RGB, BGR, etc section that comes up when you just connect your lights (the Bluetooth setup page). To fix my particular issue I have mine set on BRG, it made it so that the color on the slider is the actual color of the lights. This might not be the case for you so the way you find your specific setting is like this. First, pick a color from the slider (If you want orange go on the slider and pick orange, don’t worry about the color of your actual lights). Now go back to the Bluetooth setup page and scroll through each RGB arrangement option until your lights match the color you want (if you had purple on the slider click through each option until your lights are purple). Hopefully this helps.

  My review: Minus the color issue I had earlier, the lights work pretty much as intended. They aren’t the best quality and I’ve noticed that when you turn the lights way up the last foot of the strip is a different color (Ex: yellow as opposed to white), but when you turn the brightness down the color evens out. I didn’t read the description of the product well before purchasing, I wanted to have lights with a physical remote but this will do. One feature I would love to have in the app is the ability to strobe the lights or create your own pattern. Other than that the lights work well for the most part. The app is finicky but the lights are pretty great!

  If the color you need is missing from the animated settings

  This app is OK except that the color orange is completely missing from all of the pre-programmed animated settings at the default RGB setting, making the pre-programmed animated settings unavailable for holidays like Halloween, for example. To sort of but not really fix this, you can switch from RGB to RBG, effectively swapping blue and green. This will make the colors that were purple in the animated settings orange. But then there will be no more purple. 🙁 There doesn’t seem to be any way to have orange and purple together in an animated setting, for Halloween. I guess this app was made in a country that doesn’t have Halloween and it just never occurred to them that anyone would want orange and purple together.

  The first part of my lights when I put them up one side was always brighter then the other but I thought nothing of it. But today when I finished putting up the remainder both sides are two totally different colors for example one side is purple but then the other side will be red and theres no fixing it i’ve read numerous sights and none have had this issue, if it’s your first time getting led lights for your room I recommend just the regular ones with the remote because these are very difficult and I spent most of my money on them already.

  Brief introduction:
  RGBW light dimmer is a mobile application which is developed with Bluetooth 4.0.
  With RGBW light dimmer, you can use your phone to operate the colored light wirelessly. As long as you touch the phone, according to your corresponding click, the lights will change the color, brightness, and flicker frequency, and even DIY colored lights.   Application steps:
  Firstly, open the Bluetooth on the phone.
  Secondly, open the APP of RGBW, and click on the Bluetooth logo which is on the upper left corner.

  LED Light Controller & Remote 9+

  I purchased a light ring. It had a remote so I thought this was the item I needed. I downloaded and it come up to purchase 6 months $39. I thought I’d try it. Then I went in to set up and found out it’s a totally useless app for what I had bought (light ring). Within the hour I sent eml to cancel asap. It was a mistake. Well I got the response to screen shoot and send more info. My cc already shows pending purchase amount of $42+. I’m retired and a widow and cannot be paying for something I can not use.
  I only now saw the previous review above. Let’s see if my issue will be resolved quickly. I plan to dispute with my cc company. Fool me once…

  Useless

  Hi downloaded this app because it pops up when I typed in the name of a product I bought. But before you can even set the light bulb up the app tells you to purchase a subscription plan. At the time I still thought the app was legit so I purchased the $70/year plan. Right after the purchase went through I tried setting up the light bulb and it didn’t work at all I would just sit on the final set page. Within that same hour I contacted the app via email and told them not to finish the process of my payment because the app doesn’t actually operate the light bulb. I let them know I want the subscription cancelled. It has been almost a week and the subscription has now fully processed out of my bank account. I can’t even delete the app or account with them yet because I gotta make sure they refund me. I got one response via email the first night saying to provide screenshots and further explain the issue. Well I have and no response back so now I’m leaving a review this APP is garbage. Now refund my $70 and cancel my subscription.

  1 star useless app wanting your money for an easy return

  leaving a 1 star because all of the setups require a subscription was looking for an alternative for my remote that has broke and i ordered a new one in the mean time just needed something to control my lights (cant turn them off I.E light switch) it’s a smart light that can only be controlled through remotes or direct bluetooth connection, anyways off topic i tried to setup and was met with a prompt to pay for subscriptions? useless just pay for a remote that can control it don’t pay a monthly subscription for something you can buy and only pay one time they want 99hard earned dollars and in return you get access to the most basic use of this app and what many of us downloaded it for ONLY 1 part of the setup didn’t require a subscription it was for main companies mine is from IKEA which surprisingly isn’t even an option inside of the app
