I like that I can use my regular remote to control it, but you have to point your remote directly at the Boost for it to respond in sync to the TV sound. Meaning, when I just press volume up on the remote pointing at the TV, the volume does increase, TV will show the volume bar increasing, ex) volume bar at say 65 while the volume is still low on the Boost. Then I lower it back all the way down and point at the Boost, press volume up again, now TV volume bar shows 8 and it’s super loud. It just takes time to get used to it. Overall, very happy with my JBL Boost TV.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bubba from Good sound, but no stereo image. As far as EQ goes, the speaker sounds great. The problem is that my tv speakers had more of a stereo image than this speaker. It is not very wide, and when you watch tv all of the audio sounds like it’s coming from a point source. I would need to split the L and R channels into two of these to get the 5-star experience I was looking for. I’m sure JBL wouldn’t mind if I had to buy two 😉 As far as recommending this to a friend, I’d recommend something that had some semblance of a stereo image. The linking of the volume control to my tv remote was seamless, and a great feature that I was really looking for.

I already have the JBL SB100 sound bar which is great for a moderately priced sound bar and was anxious to compare this new one to the SB100. I was truly amazed by the sound quality from this little device. Another reviewer stated that it «was as advertised, don’t expect anything more» like it was just a slight boost to existing TV speaker sound. That may be true in some respects but you’ve got to hear it to believe it for yourself. This thing does pack a punch. It sound like it was twice its size. Don’t let its size fool you. It has some really good sound quality and will enhance any TV for added sound that you would purchase a sound bar for.

Turns on and off automatic with my tv, turns on and off automatic if I connect my phone with Bluetooth, source selection always automatic, it plays fantastic sound when ever I need it with out thinking about it, no need of a remote control! With appletv remote you can control the speaker volume if you need, as a cord cutter this is the only remote I use. The speaker has also easy access volume buttons. I use TosLink optical and CEC activatet TV. This is worldwide the only TV speaker that dosn’t need any user interaction after setup is done, everything automatic. Thats what I expext from a speaker, small form factor, no user interaction needed, great sound when ever you need it. If there would be an extrem version I would upgrade it. Low power consumption in active and standby too!
Rated 5 out of 5 by cgbeer from Shocked at how easy and nice sound Was considering doing a full on home theater system but with 4 year old twins at home figured that would get destroyed. However, the tv sound was lacking and am so pleasantly pleased with how well this works. Set up was literally plugging in 1 cord to wall socket and optical cord (included) to TV. that was it. Played for a min with remote buttons and holly cow, movies sound great, Bluetooth to phone was a piece of cake and my wife loves it. Our needs are pretty simple and the sound surpassed what I thought it could do.

Похоже обновить программное обеспечение на самом баре не возможно, по крайней мере для пользователя. Надеюсь кому то будет полезен отзыв!
Достоинства: Вчера забрал саундбар из магазина. Бюджет на покупку акустической системы был небольшой — 10 000 рублей, в итоге выбирал между JBL boost tv и Sony HT-CT80. Купил по скидке за 7 600 рублей. В однокомнатной квартире (студии) звучит хорошо, при просмотре фильмов есть эффект «кинотеатра» — звук объемный. Саундбар больше предназначен для просмотра фильмов. Музыку также пробовал слушать, высокие частоты немного звонковаты как мне показалось, с средними и низкими все в порядке, хороший бас — выдувает по обе стороны с торцов бара. Не хочу придираться, звучит достойно, с разными жанрами музыки, поп звучит лучше чем рок. Обрадовало, что в комплекте оптический кабель подсоединил к телевизору — через оптику и голубой зуб немного различается качество музыки. Через оптику звучит лучше.
В основном использую для воспроизведения звука с ТВ Samsung, а также для прослушивания музыки (через Bluetouth с ноутбука, смартфона) Кроме того, использую вместе с караоке Madboy.
Достоинства: Хороший звук. Мобильный, компактный. Связь через Bluetouth не обрывается
Покупалась эта штука в пару к телевизору, на котором периодически смотрится кино и часто играются игры с PS4. Из требований был минимум проводов и габаритов (т.е. никаких отдельных сабов), но при этом нормальные басы и объем. И вменяемая стоимость — брал за 8700. Ни разу не аудиофил (так что АЧХ, теплый ламповый звук и все такое — это не сюда), но встроенные в ТВ пищалки совсем не радовали. Кино звучит просто шикарно — звук действительно заполняет комнату, что несколько неожиданно от небольшого саундбара, но уже не так удивляет после того, как хорошо звучит совсем мелкий charge 2+ этой же фирмы. 5.1 или хайфай-колонки оно не заменит, это надо понимать, но для комнаты около 20 квадратов более чем достаточно и так. Игры тоже радуют — все пыщ-пыщ, всякие падающие гильзы или подкрадывающиеся монстры звучат сочно, и при этом четко различаются. Опять же — в каких-нибудь проф. геймерских наушниках оно конечно будет лучше, но для игры в удовольствие — весьма и весьма годно. Музыка — вот с ней совсем не сюда. Если классика звучит здесь достаточно приятно (что неожиданно), то, скажем, Oomph откровенно сливался в кашу, особенно, если забыть отключить объемный звук. Для музыки тот же charge 2+ гораздо приятнее. Но если хочется устроить дома вечеринку и включить тунц-тунц, оно вполне подойдет — есть блютус, есть возможность подключить через него сразу несколько источников звука и переключаться между ними на лету. Если у телевизора обычный ИК-пульт, то колонку можно «научить» понимать включение/выключение, регулировку громкости и mute (как это сделать — в инструкции подробно написано). Сработает это, к сожалению, не со всеми смарт-тв, например, у моего LG пульт magic remote работает как-то иначе, и колонка понимает от него только сигнал включения, так что приходится держать пульт от неё поблизости. Минус, но тут сложно что-то поделать.
Достоинства: Звук в кино и играх — насыщенный, объемный и приятный
Недостатки: Для музыки колонка подходит не особо сильно
