Установите МФУ Canon Pixma MP230 в Linux

Когда я подключил МФУ, система сообщает, что принтер добавляется, но драйвер не работает. В Ubuntu 12.10 конфигурация позволяет вам выбрать драйвер, выбор принтера MP250 работает нормально, но сканер по-прежнему не распознается.

Чтобы принтер и сканер распознавались, перейдите на страницу поддержки Canon Asia и загрузите драйверы для PIXMA MP230 для Linux: http://www.canon.com.au/Support-Services

После того, как файлы будут загружены, вы должны распаковать их в моих документах или на рабочем столе — чтобы их было легко найти. Позже откройте терминал и смените каталог на папку, в которую вы распаковали файлы. 2. Устанавливаем CUPS:
# aptitude install cups

3. Распаковываем архив с драйверами и запускаем install.sh. Есть небольшая особенность, так-как в архиве исключительно rpm файлы, а в Ubuntu устанавливаются deb пакеты, установите пакет rpm.
# aptitude install rpm

Собственно запуск install.sh выдаст ошибку:

Что вполне предсказуемо, поэтому распакуйте содержимое rpm пакетов нужной вам архитектуры в корень системы (можно использовать mc), в этих пакетах содержатся библиотеки, файл параметров принтера, и правила udev. По большому счету нас интересует файл с расширением ppd, являющийся «драйвером принтера». Контент пакета в midnight commander можно получить открыв внутри пакета файл CONTENTS.cpio.

4. Web-интерфейс администрирования cups доступен только на локальной системе на порту 631. Для удаленного администрирования можно использовать проброс порта через ssh.
# ssh -L 632:127.0.0.1:631 root@10.8.0.5

5. Переходим в консоль Web-администрирования cups и добавляем принтер. При добавлении принтера используется пароль локального root. Добавление принтера не должно вызвать особых трудностей, но все-же приведу несколько скриншотов по управлению cups.

Выбираем добавить принтер:

Назначаем параметры по умолчанию:

Переходим к настройкам установленного принтера (можно выполнить тестовую печать):

6. Переходим к настройке сканера, для этого установим дополнительные пакеты:
# aptitude install sane xsane libsane-extras libsane-hpaio

Поддержка сканера в Pixma MP230 заявлена только с версии 1.0.24, поэтому проверьте установленную версию BackEnd если версия ниже, то придется компилировать и подсовывать в систему библиотеки.
# scanimage -V
scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.23; backend version 1.0.23

Хотя как показывает практика и это тоже не показатель, можно попробовать выполнить команду:
#man sane-pixma

Посмотреть список поддерживаемых устройств и соответственно если MP230 в списке нет, то скачиваем последний backend с сайта https://alioth.debian.org/frs/?group_id=30186 и компилируем.

PS: Так-же обязательно установите пакет libusb-dev:
# aptitude install libusb-dev
