The basic black coloring of this model is updated with neon-like purple highlights on the bezel and face for a low-tech look. ORIGIN — GW-B5600 | G-SHOCK MALAYSIA

The design is inherited from the first G-SHOCK model. From the exterior styling to the LCD ratio, it boasts a perfect balance that can be considered the final shape as well as the origin.

Vapor deposition dial

Metallic blue coloring is deposited by vapor deposition processing on the outer periphery of the dial. It presents a unique glowing color ring reflected on an inverted LCD.

Super Illuminator (high-brightness full auto LED backlight)

An LED backlight illuminates the LCD with high-brightness light.

Accurate timekeeping with Bluetooth ® + Radio-controlled

Time correction is conducted by Bluetooth ® communications in conjunction with standard time radio waves. Tough Solar power provides stable operation of multiple functions.

Film solar panel

The material employed for the solar panel has been changed from glass to an easily processed film. An aperture is opened in the center of the panel to suppress reflections of external light and improve the LCD’s visibility.

[G-SHOCK 2022] DW-B5600 — доступные “квадраты” с Bluetooth

Парад новинок сентября продолжается — совсем скоро в продажу поступят DW-B5600. Как вы уже поняли по индексам, перед нами еще один представитель культовой квадратной классики G-SHOCK, но с приставкой “B” — значит на борту Bluetooth-синхронизация. Японцы прямо говорят о преемственности от DW-5000C [первые в истории G-SHOCK-и], тем самым производитель хочет напомнить аудитории о приближающемся 40-летнем юбилее ударопрочного бренда [в 2023 году].

Конечно же, DW-B5600 это недорогая и при этом современная альтернатива “старичкам” DW-5600. Bluetooth уже давно вошел в моду, а здесь еще и легендарный квадратный форм-фактор, плюс относительно невысокий ценник [115$ – 120$]. Сместить DW-5600 с пьедестала популярности будет трудно, да и вряд ли Casio ставят такую задачу — больше серий, значит больше выбора.

В отличие от GW-B5600 здесь нет солнечного питания, а стоит обычная батарейка на 3 года. Решение как бы понятное — нужно было сделать нечто среднее между DW-5600 и GW-B5600, пришлось жертвовать “солнцем”.

Есть и другие, не менее важные отличия от младшей модели — наличие мирового времени [представьте себе, в DW-5600 нет такой функции], 5 отдельных будильников [вместо одного], LED-подсветка [вместо электролюминесцентной], возможность выключения звука кнопок и настраиваемый формат даты. Размеры корпуса идентичные — 48.9 x 42.8 x 13.4 мм.

Пока заявлено три модели, и все в скелетоновом корпусе. Хотелось бы больше, но всему свое время.

По сути, мы видим все те же DW-5600, но уже с небольшими косметическими изменениями и апгрейдом в виде беспроводных возможностей — коррекция времени, управление функциями часов, поиск телефона, продвинутое мировое время в интерактивной картой.

Ждем самые доступные “квадраты” с Bluetooth в продаже уже в сентябре.
