«Нет Wi-Fi» на iPhone 3G
Все началось с того, что иногда при поиске сетей Wi-Fi он начинал длиться бесконечно. Я устранял это посредством нескольких перезагрузок. А в один прекрасный момент увидел, что поле настроек Wi-Fi недоступно и справа там пишет «нет Wi-Fi». Вначале это исправлялось таким же способом. А потом, в очередной раз, появилась такая фигня, и вот перезагружал я его, перезагружал, и неизвестно на какой там раз всё-таки зашел в настройки Wi-Fi. Но тут снова первая проблема — бесконечный поиск. Снова ребут — опять «нет Wi-Fi», и так вот до сих пор.
iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak (redsn0w). (Обновил недавно и, кажется, всё началось с этого момента) Прошивка модема 05.15.04
Если перепрошивка не помогла, значит всё дело в железе, или еще не всё потеряно?
у меня такая же фигня. мне сказали что это бывает от ударов аппарата. думаю его перепрошить.
Супруга привезла iphone 3gs из Китая.»Wi Fi нет» пишет постоянно, и соответственно не видит. Аппарат новый. Версию обновил до 4.3.5 модем 05.16.02. Это крайние версии на сегодня. Куда бечь, ума не приложу. Ваша проблема решилась? Где-то прочитал, что как буд-то, для некоторых стран телефоны выпускают без wifi.

Здравствуйте! Дано: Айфон 3г. Верс. 4.2.1(8С148). Прошивка модема 05.15.04. Не брейкнутый. Куплен в салоне МТС 2 года назад. Проблема: Не стабильно ловит сеть wi-fi. Часто просто во вкладке включения вифи серая надпись «нет ви-фи» и даже нажать не нее нельзя. Принятые меры: Отнес аппарат в московский офис компании GOLDEPHONE (достаточная крупная фирма). Как мне сказали его перепрошили. (Половина установленных программ исчезла, остались контакты, заметки и т.д.). Принес домой, в результате ощущение, что ничего с ним не делали. Как было так и осталось. Хочу попробовать сделать самостоятельно. Может дело в прошивке (может вернуть родную прошивку 3.1). Что вообще посоветуете. Заранее спасибо.
Отнес в сервис. Объяснили, что в Китае запрещен ВиФИ как таковой, поэтому APPLE выпускает для их рынка телефоны без модуля ВИФИ. предложили жить с 3Г, или поменять мать (новая сравнима со стоимостью телефона, или дождаться аварийный апарат с живой матерью). По-случаю купил 4S, теперь мучаюсь с ним.

Does iPhone 3G have the features of the iPod Touch?
Hi there, I am planning to get either an iphone 3g or an ipod touch. I am unsure of which one to get. I love the features of the new ipod touch, and does the iPhone 3G have all of the features of the new ipod touch? Where can I find this info? I know 3Gs is the newer one but I can get an iPhone 3G for free if I sign up for a phone company in my area. I don’t care about text messaging or that stuff. A phone that I can use to call and receive calls will do. I do however love the features.
Now, I want to know if the iphone 3G has the features the the new ipod touch (2nd gen) has.

Thanks for the link. I will continue to go through the thread. But from you experience, the iPhone 3G does have the features of the ipod touch and is better than the ipod touch (2nd generation)?

Can someone please answer my question? I assume a lot of you have the iPhone 3G so does it have the features of the ipod touch? and is it better?
I have both, so let me try.
Better is not a word I would use. They are both good in their own way, but the iPhone has more functions (phone and SMS obviously) including GPS for location services, and GPRS/EDGE for connectivity when not near wifi as well as camera.
The iPod touch is thinner and lighter; and I also think it is better on battery life, but that may be in part because several of the apps unavailable to the touch are somewhat processor or graphics intensive: I have to charge the iPhone usually once a day, while I may get a couple of days out of the iPod touch.
Depending on where you are (and I note you show you are in Canada — Rogers) the cost of the iPhone may be higher with service charges, while this can be offset as these are monthly: you have to buy the touch outright.
If you want the device for music and videos, plus synchronisation of contacts and calendars along with a few games, the touch might suffice. However, it is not a stripped down iPhone and the iPhone is not a beefed up iPod touch. They do have separate identities and uses.
Unlocked iPhone 3G — with WiFi?
If I buy an unlocked iPhone 3G, will I automatically have WiFi access to the Internet, or would this web access require a data plan from AT&T, T-Mobile or other vendor to work? [I want to be able to use the iPhone with Skype and have two-way communication via Wifi]. Or, am I better off using iPod Touch, 2nd generation, with headset and mic?

You will have to have an ATT data plan for it to work in public places. If the USA is like the UK here. You cannot use public wifi with Iphone here because the wifi detects that you dont have the wifi bolt on your tariff. But ALL iphone tariffs come with a data plan. I am not sure how the Itouch works about that. Someone did mention it. Some places offer free wifi which that should be Ok.

1. You’re not interested in a data plan but a wifi device.
2. You want to use Skype for calls.
3. The iPhone requires a 2 year contract with ATT with a data plan.
4. The Touch will be less expensive since you won’t have to commit to a data plan.
Cost is not the issue. The ipod touch does not have phone functionality, however, the iphone 3G does. What I’m trying to do is use the iphone 3G unlocked with a calling card plan for the phone and use it with free wifi for surfing on the net. Is that possible?
What do you mean calling card?
You have to have a wireless service provider, which costs money in the form of a monthly bill, in order for the phone to work.

If I can use the iPhone 3G for wifi Skype calls, I can add a prepaid calling card later for regular (non-Skype) voice calls, should I so desire, or sign up for a data plan only, or both — with my vendor of choice, not necessarily AT&T, but perhaps T-Mobile, for example. Can somebody comment on this, please?

You can use wifi. But it would have to be your home wifi as public wifi detects if you have a data plan for the iphone with wifi. So it would defeat the object of the iphone if you can only use it at home

A lot of WiFi free spots are only free if you have a plan with AT&T. If it’s not free, you can use it after logging in any paying. The main problem is that the iPhone won’t do anything (other than emergency calls) unless it has been activated with a cell service provider. (It will continue to work as an iPod if the cell service is later cancelled.)
