Does this Model have Bluetooth Capability ? I see the Bluetooth in the settings but it does not give me the option to turn it on.

It does NOT have Bluetooth. It was built around 2012, therefore you have to use RIGHT part. You can try the following options

• Atheros 9485GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 3012 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter part # 655795-001
• Atheros WB225 802.11b/g/n 1×1 Bluetooth Combo Adapter part # 675794-001
• Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter part # 657325-001

Or using BT dongle (much simpler and I know it works)

There are many brands and models around, cheaper too.

how do you get the bluetooth driver for my laptop. I tried to installed it from the hp drivers on the website and when i do it tells me it must be switched on. I can’t figure out what to do so could someone please help me figure out how to get the drivers so I can use bluetooth headphones if I get them. I hope we can get this resolved.

What is the full model number or product number of your dv6?

The product number can be found on the same sticker as the serial number.

What model wireless network adapter does your notebook have.

On some of the newer dv6 models you have to use the corresponding model bluetooth driver for the model wlan card your notebook has.

If you don’t know what model wlan card your notebook has, go to the device manager, click to expand the network adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

The product number you posted makes your notebook a HP Pavilion dv6t-3000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC.

Since it is a CTO model, there are no additional specs for it.

Some model notebooks do not come with built in bluetooth.

If yours has bluetooth, then you would need this driver for it.

This package contains the software required to support the HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology in supported notebook models running a supported operating system. The HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology provides wireless connectivity to other devices from the integrated module of the supported notebooks. It also provides additional Bluetooth Profiles.

If you are getting the message that bluetooth must be switched on, then you may need to install this software, restart the PC and use the software to turn on the bluetooth adapter, then install the above bluetooth driver.

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for the supported notebook models and operating systems.

I have bought a new HP Pavilion DV6 Notebook. I am unable to see any bluetooth options on this notebook. Does the DV6 come equipped with bluetooth hardware ? Please help me in this regard. It has core i5 processor and pre installed windows 7 home premium.

Most HP models come with different configurations. This means it may or may not come with a bluetooth device.

Here is how you can check:

1. Make sure you have the HP Wireless Assistant Installed.

2. If you see that application, click on it and see if a bluetooth device is listed and turned on. If it is listed and turned off, then just click the «Turn on» button.

3. Now go to your control panel>system and security>click on system.click on device manager. Toward the top of the list of devices you should see a bluetooth icon if you have a bluetooth device installed.

If it is not present in the device manager and not present in the wireless assistant, there is one last place to look. Some folks would tell you to look there first, but if you are not familiar with navigating around the BIOS, it is best you stay out of it.

4. Restart your PC and go into the system setup program (BIOS) by striking the F10 key at the HP splash screen. Go into your device configurations menu and see if there is a bluetooth device listed. If it is, make sure it is enabled. If it is not listed in your BIOS, you do not have a bluetooth device in your particular notebook. The part number listed on the bottom of the notebook is what determines what that particular DV6 notebook comes configured with.

Как быстро включить и выключить Bluetooth адаптер и WI-FI сеть на ноутбуке Hewlett Packard Pavilion DV6

Рассмотрим, как можно быстро включить и выключить Bluetooth адаптер и Wi-Fi сеть на ноутбуке Hewlett Packard Pavilion DV6.

Для этого на ноутбуке предусмотрена горячая клавиша «F12». На этой кнопке изображена иконка антенны с сигналом в качестве подтверждения назначения клавиши.

При нажатии этой кнопки происходит включение/отключение Wi-Fi сети и Bluetooth адаптера.

О состоянии активности Wi-Fi сети можно наблюдать в правом нижнем углу монитора ноутбука. Смотрите изображение ниже. Квадратиком выделена иконка состояния Wi-Fi сети.

Если антеннки перечеркнуты, значит, сеть отключена, если нет – включена.

О состоянии Wi-Fi сети и Bluetooth адаптера можно также наблюдать в диспетчере устройств ноутбука.

Для этого перейдем в меню «Пуск». Выберем там пункт меню «Компьютер», нажмем по нему правой клавишей мыши. Затем нажимаем пункт «Свойства» в выскочившем контекстном меню. Дальше перейдем к подразделу «Диспетчер устройств». Смотрите изображение ниже.

Нажимаем по нему. Переходим к списку устройств ноутбука.

В списке находим необходимые нам устройства: «Радиомодули Bluetooth» и «Сетевые адаптеры». Смотрите изображение ниже, они выделены прямоугольниками.

Если устройства активны, то в выпадающих списках вы найдете что-то вроде следующих названий «Atheros … Bluetooth …» и «Atheros … WiFi Adapter».

После нажатия кнопки «F12» произойдет обновление списка активных устройств.

Bluetooth адаптер пропадет полностью, WiFi адаптер останется у нас доступным. Смотрите изображение ниже.

Под цифрой 1 отмечено место, где раньше находился активный Bluetooth адаптер.

Можно сделать неактивной клавишу «F12» для включения/выключения адаптеров.

Для этого надо нажать правой кнопкой мыши по названию адаптера. В контекстном меню выбрать пункт «Отключить».

Выскочит дополнительное окно, в нем мы подтвердим отключение кнопки. Теперь кнопка «F12» будет неактивна. В подтверждение этого на иконке адаптера появится маленькая стрелочка вниз.

На изображении ниже отмечена иконка адаптера, на которой появится стрелка вниз.

Это актуально как для одного, так и для другого адаптера.

Чтобы вернуть функциональность кнопки «F12», снова нажимаем правой кнопкой мыши по названию адаптера. В контекстном меню выбираем подраздел «Задействовать».
