This method does not completely solve the problem. Each time you start the game, you need to minimize it and do these steps again, which is quite tedious.

Press «Win+R», enter the command «devmgmt.msc» and click «OK».
In the window that opens, select «Sound, video and game controllers», find your headphones with the signature «Hands-Free», right-click on it and select «Disable device». Restart your computer.

Please note that you only need to turn off the hands-free device, you do not need to turn off your main headphone device. A little theory about what we did:
Hands-Free or HFP is a Bluetooth profile that allows you to communicate through the microphone built into your headphones. Unfortunately, this profile only supports mono audio, at a low bitrate, so it’s not designed for simultaneous gaming and chatting — the quality is too poor, so gamers usually use either a wired headset or a separate desktop microphone.For some reason, in Windows 11, this profile is automatically enabled in some games that check for a microphone, even if the hands-free device is not set as the primary device or is disabled in mmsys.cpl. This behavior was not in Windows 10, so let’s hope that Microsoft someday fix this problem, but for now, this is the only way to solve it.

Doom eternal наушники bluetooth

Решил проблему таким способом. Винда делит bt гарнитуру на два канала наушники и телефон. В настройках звука выбрал «головной телефон (название гарнитуры) — услышал звук из игры. Зашел в винде параметры-микрофон и откличил параметр «разрешить приложениям доступ к микрофону». После выбрал устройства воспроизведения наушники( bt гарнитура). Все заработало. Только вот с микрофоном теперь не поиграешь.

у меня беспроводная колонка. вылечил следующим образом:
В винде в настройке «Звук», на вкладке «Воспроизведение» отключил «Наушники гарнитуры», которые определялись как второе устройство моей колонки (деление BT, о котором писал Dzjasin), Далее в настройке «Запись» отключил микрофон колонки.
Необходимо именно отключать устройства.

Итак, 100% солюшин для беспроводных наушников, пока нет патча:

Это прекрасный совет, но только для тех, у кого обычная 10 винда. На корпоративных виндовс таких функций вообще нет, т.к. последняя — от марта 2019, а патч на скрине от мая 2019.

One issue I had with DOOM Eternal was no sound with bluetooth headphones (mine specifically are the Skullcandy Crushers) and after some searching and researching, I was able to narrow down a fix that is different than the rest. What I discovered was that while there was no sound in DOOM, when I would alt-tab out, there was no sound in Windows either until the game closed (I had to plug a headphone cable in to get sound).

I don’t have a place to post pictures, so bare with me here. This is how I solved the issue for mine and I hope these steps are similar enough for you to find a fix. I’m currently still running Win7 as I get parts together for my new rig and Win10, so please no hate for the Win7 usage.

Open up Control Panel and go to «Bluetooth Devices». It should list whatever bluetooth devices are connected to the computer.

For my headphones specifically, I right clicked on the «Crusher Wireless» icon and selected «Service Refresh». This shows all the available services for the current item in use.

Somewhere to the right there is an icon labeled «Handsfree Profile». Right click on that and select «Disconnect».

As I did, while I was alt-tabbed out of the game, suddenly all the sound started working and I just had to click on DOOM’s tab to bring the game back up.

If I understand it correctly, it seems that the game is trying to use your bluetooth as a handsfree device for online and cutting off the HD audio for the whole system.

I also went into the game’s audio settings and unchecked the voice chat option. I don’t know if that’ll fix the issue or not and would have to do more testing, but things seem to be working normally now.

I’m a couch PC gamer, and I like to use bluetooth headphones for gaming. I use a pair of Everest Elite 750 NCs, and there is no audio in-game on them. Everything else works, and when I turn them off, the audio comes through my television. I had this issue with the first Doom (2016) as well, and just didn’t use headphones. What gives? Why do my headphones only not work on these two games?

Same issue; except I found where it’s going. It’s going to the ‘ag audio’ bit, aka it’s going to the thing you use to talk to people over the phone with, not to the actual high quality bluetooth audio.

Any new info on this? I just installed. And when I start Doom Eternal with Bose Bluetooth Headphones on the intro animation has sound but, when the main menu shows, the headphones switch to headset mode (I can hear it, external sounds are more prominent b/c the mic is on) but the game itself no longer emits sound. :'(

Same issue with me, using the Sony MX series.
Update: For whatever reason, the game automatically switches from Stereo Driver to Handsfree Driver right after the Bethesda splash screen ends. This causes the audio quality to decrease significantly, and so far I haven’t found a way to stop this change.

This seems like it would work, but I’m not going to do that because I have to use Zoom for work every day, and it’s too tedious to enable/disable things just because a game isn’t programmed correctly.

I also don’t want to disable it, however, I tried it and it did not seem to help. The game still lost sound at the menu. Maybe there are two places to disable?

this problem also seems to affect the fps of the game aswell, previously i had 100+fps on the menu screen, but ever since i bought a bluetooth dongle and connected my headset to it my fps barely exceeds 30

Ii know it’s been like year, and I hate to resurrect a zombie thread, but this came up when I ran into the same problem, and I managed to fix it.

Start > Sound Settings > Manage Sound Devices > Disable Hands-Free AG Audio as *BOTH* an Input and an Output

Fix DOOM Eternal and DOOM 2016 No Sound/Audio

Most of the problems can be tied to the configuration of your system hardware and software. Several errors with the game can be resolved by updating the GPU drivers to the latest patch released on 19th March by Nvidia and Radeon, just a day before the launch of the game. These drivers have a hotfix that can resolve most GPU related errors. So, if you have not performed the update, do it to avoid other errors besides the audio problem with the game.

There are two types of audio problems that users encounter with DOOM Eternal – audio crackling, buzzing, or popping and no audio problem.

Disable the Microphones

The most effective solution for the DOOM Eternal and 2016 audio not working is to disable the microphones from the settings. Regardless of your headset brand, this fix should work for most users. To disable the microphones, right-click the speaker icon in your system tray and open audio devices. From the options, select Disable microphones.

Fix No Audio Problem in DOOM Eternal

As we browsed through forums, we found a lot of players facing the problem of no audio/sound when playing the game. The error can be tied to Dolby Surround Sound for users with Dolby or the Windows Sonic for Headphones being turned on.

To fix the problem, you should turn off the audio settings. This fix has proven to fix the problem for a lot of users. Here is how to replicate the process and fix the audio problem with the game.

Press Windows Key + I to open Settings
Click on Systems and go to Sound
From the right side of the screen, click on the link Sound Control Panel
Right-click on the available speakers and select Properties

Go to the Spatial Sound tab and select Off from the drop-down menu
Save the changes.

Now try playing the game and check if the no audio/sound problem with DOOM Eternal is resolved.

Fix Audio Popping, Crackling, or Buzzing in DOOM Eternal

The second problem that users encounter with DOOM Eternal audio is a buzzing, popping, or crackling sound when they play the game. This error can be resolved by adjusting the audio configuration on Windows. To replicate the fix, follow the below steps:

Press Windows Key + I to open Settings
Click on Systems and go to Sound
From the right side of the screen, click on the link Sound Control Panel
Select the Speakers and click on Properties

Go to the Advanced tab and select the lowest audio settings from the drop-down menu.
Once done, Save the changes.

Try playing the game and check if the audio problem is fixed. If the issue still persists, try all the audio settings one and a time and find the perfect balance.

Update to Latest Game Ready Driver (Nvidia Users)

For Nvidia users, you are in luck because the driver released yesterday on 23rd March has a hotfix for this problem. The version for the Game Ready Drivers is 445.75, so install it via GeForce Experience or manually. A lot of users who were struggling with this issue for days resolved after they updated the drivers to this version.

Additional Fix for Doom No Sound and Other Audio Bugs

If you are playing the game using a headphone, Bluetooth headset, or earphones do away with them as some users were able to fix the problem after they disconnected their headphones.
Try changing the location of the game. If it’s installed in C, move it to D or some other drive. Memory issues can also cause the problem.
Changing the audio output to the Handsfree option of the earpieces has also worked for a user on Reddit, so, it’s worth a shot.
