Epson Software Updater allows you to update Epson software as well as download 3rd party applications. Please Note: To use this updater, your Epson product must be turned on and connected to a computer with Internet access.

EPSON Scan directly controls all of the features of your EPSON scanner. With this software you can scan images in color, grayscale, or black and white and obtain professional quality results. This program is the standard cross-platform interface between your scanner and most applications. You can access it from any application that supports the TWAIN standard.

EPSON Copy Utility is an application that enables you to use your scanner and printer together to function like a copy machine. It can print a scanned image in just a single step, so you do not need to use additional applications for your scanner or printer. Like a copy machine, this utility provides both color and monochrome copying, enlarged and reduced copying, and image adjustment functions.

Document Capture Suite is the easy to use solution for capturing and storing electronic documents at the click of a button. Whether you’re on-the-go running a small business, or responsible for a large corporate organisation with hundreds of employees, Document Capture Suite will truly make you more productive and efficient.

ICC (International Color Consortium) profiles are files that describe how an input or output device handles colour. When attached to a printer they allow the printer driver or RIP to adjust the colour balance of the image file in order to take into account the characteristics of the printer, the paper stock and the ink being used.

Подключение сканера Epson Perfection V37/ 370 в Debian 9

Не так давно, возникла необходимость сканирования документов. Из оборудования был ноутбук с Debian 9 «Stretch» на борту и сканер Epson Perfection V37.

Изначально сканер системой определился:

sane-find-scanner -q
could not fetch string descriptor: Pipe error
could not fetch string descriptor: Pipe error
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x014a [EPSON Perfection V37/V370]) at libusb:001:002

scanimage -L
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages)

Для сканирования я выбрал две программы:

При запуске, ни первая ни вторая программа подключенный сканер не увидела:

Выбираем модель и версию операционной системы:

Нажимаем поиск и попадаем на страницу загрузки драйверов и документации:

Скачиваем драйвер для нашей операционной системы:

Получаем архив вида: iscan-perfection-v370-bundle-1.0.1.x64.deb.tar.gz.

Запускаем с правами root файл install.sh:

Дожидаемся окончания работы скрипта и перезапускаем систему.

Запускаем программу для сканирования. В моем случае это gscan2pdf и приступаем к сканированию:

Greetings~
I followed another thread here viewtopic.php?f=51&t=217894&p=1143004&h . r#p1143004 and followed the install procedures listed for my model. A link led me to this.. http://support.epson.net/linux/en/image . linux_mint I cannot get the scanner to be recognized when the USB cable is plugged in.

My Desktop info is in my signature below.

Desktop: LM 21.1
8 core 16 thread Intel Core i9-9900K (-MT-MCP-) arch: Skylake rev.12 cache: 16384 KB 5ghz
32 gig ram 2080Ti Nvidia Zotac Amp Extreme Gaming 11gb
Laptop: MSI GE76 Raider i9 LM21.1

Did you install the scanner drivers appropriate for your system (32 bit or 64 bit)?

Have you tried a different USB slot?

My Epson MFCs work both in USB and Wi-Fi.

The drivers are not model specific.

Yes, I tried all my USB ports 2.0 and 3.0. I am using 64 bit KDE.
My USB ports work fine with other devices and printers.

I tried Konsole command line install and it showed the installation was successful. I have a new «Image Scan» selection under graphics in my menu.

 6.1.1. Auto Installation in script Please run the script (install.sh) included in the downloaded package from terminal. # ./install.sh
