Nice, simple and uncluttered interface which lives in the panel nicely on my 18.04 Xubuntu. Been using it to listen to BBC, which I had to add. ———Downside is that the list of stations is way out of date and more than 50% of them don’t work at all — but if you have URLs you want to listen to it’s easy to add them. ——— Take care with the format of the stations.csv file if you edit manually. If the format is not correct you will see «an instance is already running» errors. Or «segmentation fault» from the command line. ————— Could do with some more documentation. Could do with some obvious features like edit station (instead of delete and re-create) and perhaps a start with computer option. The GUI could do with a separate pause / stop button. The combined one looks great but is way too fiddly for mouse let alone touch screen. But in all, very solid and great to use. Shame that the project appears to be dead, but it’s still the most uncluttered GUI I could find, which make it OK for me.

Great Little Radio Player

Great Little Radio Player — бесплатный интернет-радио плеер. Содержит множество предустановленных радиостанций, доступных для прослушивания через интернет.

Имеет современный интерфейс, поддерживает различные темы оформления.

Интерфейс программы очень простой и не должен вызвать никаких сложностей. Слева отображаются категории радиостанций. Вы можете сделать выборку по жанрам, по странам или вывести список любимых станций. Справа представлены сами станции в виде значков и подписей с названием радио. При клике на значок, начинается проигрывание данной радиостанции.

Вы можете добавлять свои радиостанции, для этого вам нужно знать только правильный URL.

Great Little Radio Player позволяет очень просто изменять тему оформления. Откройте настройки программы — для этого нажмите на кнопку с иконкой шестеренки. В окне настроек перейдите на вкладку Вид и выберите из списка тему (обложку). Подобрать тему на свой вкус не составит труда, так как их представлено более 30. Многие темы поддерживают прозрачность. Если вы хотите изменить размер окна программы, то это можно сделать, удерживая правую кнопку мыши в правом нижнем уголу окна.

В настройках вы также можете включить Визуализацию во время проигрывания.

Программа добавляет свой значок в область уведомлений (в трей). Интерфейс переведен на несколько языков, включая русский. Язык интерфейса можно сменить в любой момент через Настройки.

Установка программы в Linux

Перейдите на страницу загрузки программы. Там вы сможете скачать готовые пакеты для различных дистрибутивов, включая DEB-пакеты для Ubuntu (32 или 64-х битные версии). Если вы скачали DEB пакет, дважды щелкните по нему. Откроется Центр приложений Ubuntu. Нажмите кнопку Установить. После этого вы сможете запустить программу через Лаунчер.

У меня в Ubuntu при прослушивании некоторых радиостанций автоматически открывалось окошко для установки дополнительных кодеков (gstreamer и другие).

@halcek, I took a look at the updated version. It appears to have been updated to Qt5, which is good, but unfortunately the source files are literally just that. Build files, images, etc. are not included.

I’ve worked around this by also downloading the binary release, and using the files from that. It works on my machine, but haven’t been able to test elsewhere.

Are there object files in the source tarball? I had to remove *.o to get past -fPIC compilation error.

If anyone is using plasma-5, keep in mind that the system tray icon will not show up preventing this application from functioning. You must get the following package(s): ——————————— sni-qt -for qt4 applications ibappindicator-gtk2 — for gtk2 applications ibappindicator-gtk3 — for gtk3 applications ——————————— Side Note: I got the radio player to open but it didn’t seem to play anything and get stuck on one station which couldn’t be switched without closing and re-opening the entire application. Maybe it will work for you, I suspect there is a missing dependency in the PKGBUILD and hope there is a way to get this working.
