Grim dawn linux black screen
Wine (originally an acronym for «Wine Is Not an Emulator») is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, Mac OSX, & BSD. This subreddit is for the discussion of using WINE to play video games.
Grim Dawn was working fine but something in a recent update has broken it.
Black screen with no sound.
Happens with both GOG version locally with Wine and Steam version with Proton.
Running repair.exe outputs Unhandled Exception errors:

Grim Dawn: Hang + black screen #45
Grim Dawn: Hang + black screen #45
Comments
OS: Slackware64-current
wine: 4.9-staging (With both 64/32-bit)
wine-nine-standalone: b41e162
I got the game Grim Dawn from GOG.
It apparently can use either d3d11 or d3d9 , to use the latter.
export WINEDLLOVERRIDES='d3d11=d'
This seems to work just fine, but if wine-nine-standalone is enabled it will hang on a black screen and never start even after waiting around 10 minutes.
I made a trace with apitrace as explained in the wiki.
However upon replaying this trace I get a crash.
Any ideas how to figure out what the problem is?
