HP EliteBook 2560p Notebook Broadcom Bluetooth Driver 7

— Fixes an intermittent issue with the Bluetooth browsing function.

This package contains the files needed for installing the Broadcom driver. If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Even though other OSes might be compatible as well, we do not recommend applying this release on platforms other than the ones specified.

To install this package please do the following:

— Make sure that all system requirements are met.
— Save the downloadable package on an accessible location (such as your desktop).
— Locate and double-click on the newly-downloaded file.
— Allow Windows to run the file (if necessary).
— Read EULA (End User License Agreement) and agree to proceed with the installation process.
— Follow the on-screen instructions.
— Close the wizard and perform a system reboot to allow changes to take effect.

About Bluetooth Drivers:

Installing the system’s Bluetooth driver will allow it to connect with various devices such as mobile phones, tablets, headsets, gaming controllers, and more. However, this wireless technology is recommended to be used for transferring data between compatible devices within short ranges.

A newer version can include support for later technology standards or add compatibility with other Bluetooth chipsets; however, bear in mind that updating the driver might not improve your system at all.

When it comes to applying the driver, the method is obvious and the steps quite easy: simply extract the compressed package (if necessary), run the setup, and follow the given instructions for a complete installation.

This laptop has been working for years without problems. But today I was looking for bluetooth on this laptop. According to the specs it has so, but it wasn’t there in the devicemanager. In BIOS it is mentioned and enabled. I tried to install the bluetooth software (sp1616 and sp52773) but both failed because no bluetooth device was found.

So i googled and found this ‘solution’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me_A5-G0pcs I’m using windows 7 but i «forced» the installation of a intel centrino driver as is mentioned in the youtube video. It didn’t work, but even worse after i rebooted the computer my audio failed. No device is found. I tried to install the sp62585 which should install the audio device. But it fails. No device could be found.

I tried to install get something working, but I failed and made it even worse.

This is a fix to get the Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth adapter working on Windows 10 (found in for instance the 2560p Elitebooks)

On the internet I have found a lot of forum posts with this problem, however without working fixes. The main problem is that Broadcom decided not to make drivers for Windows 10 available. Installing older drivers in compatibility mode or default Windows bluetooth drivers did not work for me (and many others).

However, I found a fix! Windows 10 often does not even recognize this Bluetooth adapter in device manager, however it works flawlessly by default in Ubuntu (a popular Linux distribution). By enabling the Bluetooth adapter in Ubuntu and then switching back to Windows 10 it remains working! The steps in short are:

1) Download a recent Ubuntu iso

2) Make a bootable usb-stick using Rufus and the Ubuntu iso

3) Boot your laptop to Ubuntu (you can use it ‘live’ so you don’t need to install anything!)

4) Go to settings and enable Bluetooth. Double check if it is working, for instance by pairing with another device such as your phone or speakers

6) Now you are done! Just shutdown Ubuntu, and restart under Windows 10. It should show the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and work in Windows 10 too!

It involves some effort and is a pretty weird workaround but has worked for me twice (on two different HP Elitebook 2560p laptops).

Облик рабочей лошадки

В дизайне HP EliteBook 2560p выделены два цвета: чёрный и стальной. Внутренняя область испещрена вертикальными полосами, гладким остался лишь тачпад.

Увидев гаджет, сразу становится понятным, что он создан в первую очередь ради осуществления рабочих проектов. Углы корпуса прямые, а грани точёные. Облик говорит о том, что перед нами серьёзное устройство без лишних дизайнерских наворотов.

Компании HP удалось найти компромисс между прочностью и портативностью лэптопа. Вес устройства составил 1,63 кг, что несколько больше, чем у представителей аналогичного класса.

Устройства управления

Лэптоп отвечает требованиям эргономики. Поверхность каждой из клавиш вогнутая. Размеры кнопок компактной клавиатуры стандартного размера. Пожертвовать пришлось лишь кнопками «вверх», «вниз», уменьшив их высоту вдвое. Ход клавиш тихий и лёгкий. Поверхность клавиатуры обладает влагоустойчивым эффектом.

Тачпад гаджета имеет сенсорную панель и двухпозиционную клавишу прокрутки. Он умеет распознавать, а также реагировать не только на простые, но и на сложные жесты.

Помимо тачпада позиционирование осуществляется PointStick, расположенным по центру клавиатурной области.

Аппаратная часть

В зависимости от сборки ноутбук HP EliteBook 2560p может быть укомплектован следующими микропроцессорами от Intel:
– i7-2620M частотой 2,7 ГГц и 4 MБ кэш III уровня;
– i5-2410/2520/2540 M частотами 2,3/2,5/2,6 ГГц соответственно (кэш III уровня составляет 3 МБ).
На материнскую плату внедрён чипсет для ноутбучных платформ Mobile Intel QM67 Express.

Ноутбук поддерживает суммарную ёмкость оперативной памяти, равную 16 ГБ. Стандартная конфигурация включает память в 4 ГБ (тип – DDR3 SDRAM, частота – 1,33 МГц). Лэптоп способен нормально работать и вдвое меньшей памятью. Под планки оперативной памяти отведена пара слотов.

Объём жёсткого диска также различается в разных сборках. HDD может вместить 128, 320 либо 750 ГБ информации.

Создатели оснастили своё детище цифровой веб-камерой, дабы пользователь не был обделён видеосвязью.

DVD привод SuperMulti DL оперирует с DVD дисками +RW, -RW.
Базовая конфигурация не отличается молниеносным быстродействием, зато к производительности нареканий нет.

Графика

Диагональ ЖК-дисплея – 12.5″, монитор имеет антибликовое покрытие. Так что работе не помешает яркое естественное освещение. Поверхность экрана матовая. Экран подсвечивается светодиодами. Разрешение рабочей зоны монитора – 1366×768 точек на дюйм. Внутреннюю часть графической системы представляет видеопроцессор HD Graphics 3000 от Intel.

Связующие коммуникации

У мобильного компьютера имеется два USB порта версии 2.0, один из них совмещает функции зарядного устройства. Имеющийся USB Combo совмещён с eSATA интерфейсом.

На корпусе ноутбука вы увидите и другие интерфейсы: DisplayPort, VGA, гнёзда микрофона и наушников, разъём для подсоединения факс-модема RJ-11, для LAN-подключения служит RJ-45. Здесь же находится разъём для питания ноутбука, а также разъём для док-станции.

Сетевой интерфейс реализован сетевой картой марки 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection от компании Intel, с поддержкой скоростей от 10 до 1000 Мбит/с. Сюда же входит факс-модем.

Wi-Fi вместе с Bluetooth+EDR модулем способны сделать мобильный ПК частью беспроводных сетей. Из слотов имеются Express Card/34, Smart Card Reader (работает с SD/MMC картами).

Аудио

Звук премиум класса льётся из встроенных стереодинамиков. Звуковая система снабжена шумоподавлением. Составляющие являются сбалансированными. Обладатель HP EliteBook 2560p будет наслаждаться одновременно громким, чистым, реалистичным, неискажённым звуком. У лэптопа есть встроенный сдвоенный микрофон. При помощи специальной кнопки можно выключать звук, на клавиатуре вы найдёте клавиши для прибавления и уменьшения громкости.

Безопасность

Система безопасности HP EliteBook 2560p имеет многоступенчатую защиту. В её состав включены: диспетчеры учётных записей и устройств доступа, шифрование диска, считыватель смарт-карт, чип безопасности, а также гнездо для замка безопасности. Ноутбук имеет сканер отпечатков пальцев, размещенный справа от тачпада. Биометрическая аутидентификация заметно повышает уровень безопасности устройства.

Программное наполнение

Мобильный ПК располагает Windows 7 профессиональной 64-разрядной версии. Ноутбук может работать с 32-битной системой того же плана. Home premium/basic также могут поселиться на ноутбуке. Vista home basic c FreeDOS также рекомендованы производителем гаджета.

EliteBook 2560p от HP включает следующее программное наполнение:
– предустановленный MS-Office 2010 (для владения полной версии необходима активация);
– Norton антивирус 2011 (60-дневное обслуживание);
– Roxio My DVD 2010 SE.
