HP EliteBook 840 G8 Notebook PC Specifications
Some devices for academic use automatically update to Windows 10 Pro Education with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Features vary.
Not all features are available in all editions or versions of Windows. Systems might require upgraded and/or separately purchased hardware, drivers, software or BIOS update to take full advantage of Windows functionality. Windows 10 automatic updates are always enabled. ISP fees might apply and additional requirements might apply over time for updates.
In accordance with Microsoft support policy, HP does not support the Windows 8 or Windows 7 operating system on products configured with Intel and AMD 7th generation or later processors, or provide any Windows 8 or Windows 7 drivers.
Processors
Multicore is designed to improve performance of certain software products. Not all customers or software applications necessarily benefit from use of this technology. Performance and clock frequency vary depending on application workload and hardware and software configurations. Intel numbering is not a measurement of higher performance.
Processor speed denotes maximum performance mode; processors run at lower speeds in battery optimization mode.
Memory
Due to the non-industry standard nature of some third-party memory modules, we recommend HP branded memory to ensure compatibility. If memory speeds are mixed, the system performs at the lower memory speed.
Graphics
Intel Iris Xe Graphics capabilities require system to be configured with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and dual channel memory.
Networking/communication
Wireless access point and Internet service is required and is not included. Availability of public wireless access points limited. The specifications for the 802.11 WLAN are draft specifications and are not final. If the final specifications differ from the draft specifications, it might affect the ability of the notebook to communicate with other 802.11 WLAN devices.
WWAN module is an optional feature, requires factory configuration and requires separately purchased service contract. Check with service provider for coverage and availability in your area. Connection speeds might vary due to location, environment, network conditions, and other factors. LTE not available on all products, in all countries/regions.
5G module is an optional feature that must be configured at purchase. Requires activation and separately purchased service contract. Check with service provider for coverage and availability in your area. Connection, upload and download speeds varies due to network, location, environment, network conditions, and other factors. 5G not available on all products, in all countries/regions. Backwards compatible to 4G LTE and 3G HSPA technologies. 5G module is planned to be available in select countries/regions.

I have an Elitebook 840 g3 with Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit, the bluetooth doesn’t work and it doesn’t compare in the Bios options.
I have checked that the WiFi card ( Intel AC8260NGW ) integrate the bluetooth feature but I think that this machine has been sold without the option bluetooth. there is some workaround to activate it ? Or if I buy a new WiFi card ( for example I have found on Amazon some Intel AC9260 or AC8260 with Bluetooth so the laptop can detect a new card and start to work fine ?
Thanks in advance to everybody that can help me

Check to make sure the bluetooth is enabled in the BIOS.
The AC8260NGW wifi adapter is definitely a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.
Some 840 G3’s came with downgrade rights to W7 Pro from W10 Pro.
If the PC ever had W7 on it, and was upgraded to W10 or W10 was clean installed, it is very possible the bluetooth was turned off with the W7 connection manager software and no bluetooth devices show up in the device manager even though it shows the Bluetooth is present and enabled in the BIOS.
See if you can get the bluetooth to show up by making a bootable USB installer from the link below.
Boot from the Ubuntu installer and select the option to ‘Try Ubuntu without installing.’
See if you can turn on the bluetooth device in Ubuntu.
If you can, turn it on, and shut down the notebook. Remove the Ubuntu installer, and now the bluetooth should be working when you are back into Windows.
If that doesn’t work, then the bluetooth radio on the wifi card is probably no good and you should be able to replace the card with the Intel 9260 AC non VPro model.

I don’t seem to be able to find and enable bluetooth on my laptop
I have installed these drivers as Admin but still no luck

The only suggestion I can offer before you contact HP technical support for assistance under the warranty, would be to install the HP connection manager software and see if you can use that software to enable the bluetooth radio.
If you upgrade to W10, make sure you have the BT turned on, and uninstall the connection manager software before upgrading to W10!
The connection manager software is not compatible with W10, and if your BT radio was off at the time of upgrading to W10, you will not be able to turn it on again unless you revert to W7, turn the BT on and uninstalling the connection mgr software.
This package provides the HP Connection Manager for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
