Hp scanjet 4370 linux

Установка сканера HP ScanJet 4370 в Linux

Здравствуйте.
Простите за тупняк, я не слишком хорошо с Линуксом знаком.
Как то я уже было пробовал установить в Linux Mint x64 сканер HP ScanJet 4370 в Linux, но не получалось. Спрашивал у знатоков.. ответили, что нет дров под Линукс именно на этот сканер нет дров, Sane не поддерживает и т. д.
Сейчас вот опять вспомнил про этот сканер, посмотрел на сайте SANE, вроде вижу, что есть дрова.
Только не пойму.. напротив ScanJet 4370 указан hp3900 (0.12).
Оно или не оно? Как устанавливать?

SANE — это то, что чуть реже, чем всегда, обеспечивает работу сканера под *NIX’ами. поверх этого могут запускаться разные морды, но внутри при этом останется SANE. А SANE для этой балалайки предоставляет базовую поддержку — с разрешением сканирования не выше, чем 1200 точек на дюйм: sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#Z-HEWLETT-PACKARD Драйвер, входящий в состав SANE — sane-hp3900.5 — это «оно»: sane-project.org/man/sane-hp3900.5.html «Оно», скорее всего, будет установлено автоматом вместе с SANE, так что ничего дополнительно делать не придётся. Разве что сканер подключить 🙂

«оно или не оно» эт тут не выяснишь.
а установить — скачать и почитать рекомендации по установке.
точнее не скажу ибо не знаю что там скачается.

Есть такая программка » простое сканирование» в убунте. Пока что все сканеры определяла.
А обновлять драйвера через стандартный интерфейс не пробовали?
