WiFI does not work on Windows 10 BootCamp — Drops in and out
Update: There was a new driver released on 4/20/2018 for Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter, version 7.35.118.83, but the Apple update is only now pushing it (7/9/2018). Just installed it. Let’s see how it goes. WiFi is consistently dropping at random times regardless of network. Question : how do I fix it so I have a reliable consistent wifi connection when I use Windows 10? I have a MacBook Pro, purchased late 2017. WiFi will randomly disconnect when I run Windows 10. It works better on certain networks than others but it’s always intermittent. Even on very robust networks it will eventually begin to drop. Once it drops it sometimes will simply not reconnect. Other times the drivers will randomly be disabled, not sure if this has to do with windows updates. I tried manually installing and uninstalling drivers, rolling back drivers, installing and reinstalling the windows support software, and even using third party driver support software. Wifi connection still drops randomly with no perceivable pattern. I went to the apple store and I was simply told that this is a windows issue. I had windows running on a MacBook air (2010) and never experienced these issues. It also seems they haven’t come up with an update for the driver in almost two years. I ran out of ideas, any pointers on how to fix the wifi connection problem is appreciated. Can I have more information on what needs clarification? Wifi does not work on my MacBook pro (2017) when I’m running Windows 10 using the boot camp installation. It will randomly disconnect. How do I fix it so that I have consistent reliable wifi connection
No, when I’m running the Mac OS it’s flawless. I’m thinking it may have to do with activating windows. I’ll give that a shot and see if it changes anything. Call me crazy, but I noticed that windows will prevent certain things from working specially if it’s asking to update. Now it has an impossible to remove virus. So the WiFi thing may be a subtle way to push a user to activate windows.
Activated Windows, problem still persists. Wifi randomly disconected for a good minute. This is unbelievable.
Yes, I’ve just been avoiding it because I would have to re-sync my dropbox and outlook which is nearly 100gb. I would have to look up how to back up those file with out having to resync.
No WiFi on Windows 10 with BootCamp
I finally got Windows 10 installed using BootCamp, but I can’t connect to the internet. It is only attempting to use bluetooth to connect instead of WiFi. I have tried to download drivers, but when I attempt to install them, it tells me that I can only use apps from the store. I’ve tried every fix I’ve found. The driver is just not there and I can’t install it.

Windows 10 — Bootcamp internet issue Hi all, I’m not sure whether this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes. I’m trying to install Windows 10 on my early 2015 Macbook Air, running Catalina 10.15.7. I’ve managed to get to the install part of Windows, but I get stuck at the choosing the Wi-Fi part. Whenever I get there, none of the multiple Wi-Fi networks that are available in my home and on my phone are visible. The only option is to set up Internet later. I’ve tried to go through without internet, and I’ve updated Windows 10 and updated all of the drivers. What should I do now? I have some pictures I can post if needed. Thanks for any help.

Bootcamp No WiFi under Windows 10
I just installed Win 10 with bootcamp. No problem. Everything works fine. Except I can not see my WiFi network under Windows. Any idea. It looks like Windows does not recognize my Network Mac Card.

I found a soulution to the problem.
-> go in Windows 10 to youre search bar and type — device manager — click on it and go to network adapters.
select broadcom and uinstall the driver. Next cick in the top window on action and scan for hardware changes.
the broadcom driver will return and your wifi problem is sloved. let me know if it doesn’t work
Hey guys for those of you who still have a problem with the wifi . this is what i did to get it working
Right click Broadcom Netxtreme Gigabit Eithernet and uninstall it.
Then at the menue bar click search for hardware changes It should come back.
(Solution 2 ) worked for me!
Right click Network Controler and Click update driver.
Hit browse my computer for driver soft.
Let me pick from a list of dev.
Scroll down to Netword adapters
Under Manufacture. Scroll down to Broadcom.
And under Model install Broadcom 802.11n network adapter (Broadcom)
I did just like Sam said and no luck. I’ve also got the issue where the airplane mode switch won’t toggle off and seems to be related to the wifi issue.
I have a late 2012 Mac Mini I was thinking maybe the Broadcom driver isn’t compatible or something??
a finall slotion for this problem

This does in fact work. Did it today on my MacBook Air and wifi popped up like a charm. Thanks Sam.
I tried that but device manager doesn’t show any network adapter. I bought a macbook air just last week and installed windows 10 (education) on it. I see only ‘network controller’ in device manager. On a related note, I did have problems installing Windows 10 on this macbook. After Bootcamp assistant created the windows install disk on a flash drive, the computer restarted but did not automatically go to the install disk to bbot up. I had to restart it again and hold the option key for it to do that. So I still do not get the bootcamp screen when I startup. Could my problem be related to that?
Do you have any unknown devices in Device Manager?
If BC drivers are not installed yet, u sing Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems — Apple Support find the W8.1 64-bit drivers appropriate for your Mac year/model and test. W10 is not officially supported yet.
WiFi issues on Windows 10 using bootcamp
After installing Windows 10 via bootcamp, initially I did not have the WiFi drivers installed automatically, however, installing the legacy WiFi driver from the bootcamp driver package resolved the issue. Recently, Apple pushed bootcamp 6 to my machine and I thought all my woes would be gone, but I was wrong.
As of now, I do not have any other issues using Windows on my mid 2012 Macbook Pro (non-retina, which also runs the latest OSX 10.11 El Capitan) except for the WiFi. My WiFi keeps on disconnecting/reconnecting in intervals of 5-10 minutes. To be very clear this is an issue only while using Windows (means my hardware is perfectly OK). Also, I have noticed that this happens only when I am home using my home WiFi. When I am at school using Windows 10 on my mac, there is no disconnection of the WiFi. It is also worthwhile to note that my other devices, which include 2 Samsung smartphones, and my roommate’s devices including his laptop and his smartphone, do not have any drops on their WiFi connection.
So, is it possible that the same WiFi receiver which is in my Macbook uses a different frequency to connect to WiFi when booted with Windows, and all the other devices use a different frequency? I am not sure of this, but have read that most smartphones and laptops use the 5 GHz frequency, is it possible that Windows uses, or rather Apple makes Windows to use the 2.4 GHz band for its bootcamped devices? Will using a different WiFi switch/router/transmitter solve my problem? Are there any software tweaks that I can make to resolve this? Or perhaps a different driver? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any extra information. My current router at home is from Cisco (Model: DPQ3925, the stock router from the ISP) and my ISP is Cox Communications.

iMac 2020 Windows 10 Wi-Fi driver does not work
I have Windows 10 Home installed on an external SSD. I have my Security Boot Settings set up to allow booting from external media, and can boot into Windows 10 just fine. I have downloaded the «Windows Support Software» via Bootcamp Assistant under macOS and have copied those files to my Windows drive and run Bootcamp -> setup.exe under Windows followed by a restart.
However, the Wi-Fi card in the mac is not recognized by Windows, and it would seem the proper driver is not installed by Apple’s latest «Windows Support,» for the Wi-Fi card. Looking further in Device Manager in Windows 10 reveals that a number of the components do not have proper drivers including what I’m guessing is the Wi-Fi card. Ethernet shows up ok under windows, but at the moment I do not have access to an ethernet connection.
Has anyone else had similar issues? Does anyone have a solution? Thank you!

Boot camp windows 10 can’t connect to wifi broadcom hi Everyon,e I know there’s a lot of posts about this, and even following the steps in there I can’t seem to fix it. I just used bootcamp to get Windows 10 running on my computer. I’ve tried installing every single Broadcom 802.11 driver I see in Windows under Network Adapter, but none work. About half show up under ‘other devices’ with a question mark and show as ‘no driver installed’. The other half (e.g. the latest 802.11 n) do show up under network adapters but under ‘general’ the device status says ‘this device cannot start (code 10)’. I’ve pasted below my mac OS info, and info on my wifi from mac OS / about this mac / system report. Yesterday, before installing boot camp, I updated my mac OS to the latest version. I’ve also pasted a picture below of what it looks like under windows. Note that I know that my wifi information says 802.11ac, when I try to install that driver it doesn’t work either. Grateful for any insight!
iMac not seeing 5GHz Wi-Fi on macOS, but everything’s fine on Windows I have an iMac 27 mid 2011. The OSes that I have are Sierra and Windows 8.1 (via Boot Camp). When I open the Wi-Fi menu on macOS, it doesn’t show me any 5GHz networks, but when I boot into Windows, it works fine. When I try to connect manually (as if there was a hidden SSID), it fails to connect. This clearly isn’t a hardware problem (since Windows has no issues with 5GHz Wi-Fi), so I wonder if anyone has expected similar stuff on their devices. P.S. I had to choose «iMac Line (2012 and Later)» as device because there wasn’t a choice for older iMacs
