Intel wireless bluetooth aptx

Windows 11 and AptxHD

This is a multipart question, something that has been bothering me for years now.

I’ve been agonizing over this for a couple of years and still no solution or explanation all over the web. How can you get Win 11 to use aptX HD? I have the Intel WiFi/BT combination wireless M2 card, and it will do aptX. Of course my sink is aptX everything. However, as reported by BluetoothTweaker, Windows is choosing aptX.

What is the best way to get aptX HD as source on a Win 11 machine?

NUC8i5BEH Bluetooth aptX HD Hi-Res Audio Streaming

Hello, I have an Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i5BEH. According to the technical data sheet, this has an onboard Bluetooth 5.0 chip (Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 + Bluetooth 5.0). I would like to stream Hi-Res audio from the NUC to an aptX-HD capable amplifier via Bluetooth. My operating system is Windows 10.

Good thread find, thanks. It looks like all Intel BT cards support aptX HD. Finally, some information. Hurry up MS, it’s been far too long. Stop putting so much into your ****** app store, where all programs look like Phone Apps, and make something useful.

It is now possible to stream LDAC from Windows without VM, dongle, or other shenanigans.

I appologize if this is old news, but I just stumbled across it. There is a bit of software called Alternative A2DP Driver that lets Windwoes transmit LDAC (or other codecs) directly. This assumes, of course, that the computer already has bluetooth capability. The software lives here.

Maybe another way of solving this problem might be to approach it from the other direction. With Some bluetooth devices like BTR5 and Qudelix 5k you can force the codec to be used. Would that work for you OP?

@NoxMorbis you can add aptX adaptive support to your PC using the Sennheiser BTD 600. According to Qualcomm, aptX adaptive is backward compatible with aptX HD devices.

Thanks. Currently, I don’t need aptxLL on my computer. Actually, plain old aptX does a good job at nearly CD quality. That’s probably why MS has implemented it already, which I confirmed using software. But, aptX HD just gives that extra headroom, that almost non of us will hear at noprmal listening levels, but if you can use it, why not?

I was waiting for someone to bring this up. Sure, and I ahve two of those types of transmitters, but then the 3.5mm out on the sound card defaults to my music speakers, and not my computer speakers (which are connected to my MB’s sound card using the 3.5mm output, which I use for listening to news, etc, while music plays in the background. Two sound cards would solve that problem, but I trust you can see that at that point, things start getting messy.

Как оказалось, не только решения от CSR (которую уже купила Qualcomm) поддерживают кодек Aptx, но и адаптеры Intel 7265/3165/7260/3160/8260/8265 Bluetooth также имеют эту поддержку на Windows 8.1/10.

Наконец-то я дождался выхода патча для активации Aptx на моем «музыкальном» смартфоне Xiaomi Mi Note и довольный отправился в салоны по продаже наушников. После прослушивания различных вариантов мой выбор пал на Bluetooth наушники Sony MDR-ZX770BNL (естественно, поддерживающие Aptx).
Также я уже настроился купить Bluetooth адаптер типа ORICO BTA-403, чтобы появилась возможность слушать эти наушники через Aptx с ноутбука, но изначально решил поискать на просторах сети, вдруг кто еще кроме CSR добавил поддержку Aptx в свои Bluetooth адаптеры. И на одном из зарубежных форумов я как раз нашел то, что искал (ссылка на первоисточник в конце).
На своем Lenovo T470 с Windows 10 и модулем Intel Wireless-AC 8265 я попробовал проделать рекомендации с форума и у меня всё получилось.

В Диспетчере устройств раскройте «Сетевые адаптеры».

Итак, чтобы активировать поддержку Aptx:

1. У вас уже должны быть установлены родные драйвера на Bluetooth-адаптер
2. Качаем драйвера от Dell для Windows 8.1 (подходят и на Windows 10): — Intel 7265/3165/7260/3160 Bluetooth
   — Intel 8260/8265 Bluetooth
3. Меняем расширение скачанного .exe файла на .zip
4. Извлекаем из получившегося архива файл «Intel Bluetooth Audio.msi» и устанавливаем его.
5. Наблюдаем появление значка Aptx при подключении наушников в правом нижнем углу экрана.
6. Наслаждаемся относительно качественной музыкой без проводов.

В свойствах наушников также появляется галочка активации Aptx (установлена по умолчанию).

P.S. Я услышал разницу в звучании с Aptx и без, чего и вам желаю.
