Две спортивные гарнитуры от Jabra — практически близнецы, только одна беспроводная, а вторая с кабелем. У версии с Bluetooth идеальная эргономика, есть радио, но есть и минусы.

Дизайн, конструкция

Гарнитура поставляется в качественной упаковке, тубус из пластика, сверху бумага, сойдет даже как подарочный вариант для спортсмена. Дизайн устройства интересен, в Jabra к решению вопроса компактности подошли довольно оригинально. Есть два наушника, соединенных кабелем-лапшой желтого цвета, наушники довольно массивные, в них и спрятана вся электроника. На правом находится прикрытый заглушкой разъем microUSB, участки рядом с ушами легко гнутся, что позволяет с удобством разместить гарнитуру на месте. Основные цвета — темно-серый и желтый, наушники прикрыты металлическими перфорированными панелями. Гарнитура для спорта выглядит спортивно, этого не отнять, вот только жаль, что в комплект не положили чехол или что-то такое. Любопытно, что у проводной версии чехол есть, довольно жесткий футляр из ткани. Выглядит проводная гарнитура практически так же, разве что чуть меньше.

Интересно, что гарнитура защищена от пыли, грязи, капель дождя, хотя плавать в ней не стоит.

Способ ношения, удобство

Мне понравилось, как Sport сидит, это касается обеих версий, несмотря на толщину дужек, уши не оттопыриваются, без проблем таскал устройство час, пока был на тренировке. При резких движениях гарнитура не слетает, насадки не трут, короче говоря, идеально. Мне очень понравилось. Учтите, что для продукта с ориентацией на спорт эргономика чрезвычайно важна. У меня, например, когда бегу на дорожке, начинается неврастения, если кабель наушников болтается очень сильно — волнуюсь, что за что-нибудь зацепится. Здесь кабель находится на шее, вы его не видите. Сравнить Sport могу лишь с удобными кроссовками, что вы носите не первый год и они уже давно сели как надо, привычны.

Управление

Все кнопки находятся на правом наушнике, это play/pause (многофункциональная кнопка), регулировка громкости, рядом с качелькой небольшой световой индикатор, учитывая назначение устройства, можно простить такое размещение. При первом включении гарнитура автоматически входит в режим сопряжения, для повторного сопряжения нужно удерживать кнопку play/pause, пока индикатор не начнет мигать.

Кнопки регулировки громкости не очень удобны, к ним сложно подобраться, кнопка play/pause нажимается со щелчком, нужно приложить усилие. Еще одна кнопка отвечает за запуск радио, но об этом поговорим подробно ниже. Переключение треков возможно при нажатии и удержании кнопок регулировки громкости.

Радио

На наушнике есть кнопка, запускающая радио, оно может работать и без подключения к телефону, что для многих будет хорошей добавкой. Для поиска станций нужно нажимать и удерживать кнопки регулировки громкости

Питание

На дисплее iPhone отображается индикатор заряда гарнитуры. Заявленное время работы составляет 4,5 часов в режиме разговора и 3 часа в режиме воспроизведения музыки. С помощью сетевого ЗУ из комплекта можно полностью зарядить гарнитуру где-то за полтора часа, возможна зарядка и от USB-порта. Как видно, со временем работы все не очень хорошо, при активном использовании заряда вам хватит на день.

Связь с телефоном, качество звука

Мне гарнитура показалась тихой, очень хочется прибавить громкости, да не получается. Тестировал в основном с iPhone 4S, с BB 9780 ситуация схожая. Для спортзала, в принципе, нормально, но когда там включают какую-нибудь мотивационную музыку типа «Арии» или чего-то такого, хочется жать, жать и жать на кнопку «плюс», пока своя музыка не вытеснит потусторонние звуки. Гарнитура оснащена профилем Bluetooth 3.0, дальность работы около восьми метров, в зале спокойно оставлял телефон на полочке и ходил по тренажерам, потери связи не было. Качество передачи речи хорошее в тихом помещении, если есть шум, то вас становится слышно гораздо хуже — к сожалению, это уже особенности конструкции. В машине говорить можно, другой вопрос, зачем использовать спортивную гарнитуру в авто.

Возможна работа с двумя телефонами одновременно, традиционная для Jabra функция здесь работает вполне нормально.

У проводной гарнитуры тоже используется кабель-лапша, есть пульт ДУ с одной кнопкой для использования с iPhone, у этого продукта громкость выше.

Качество звука хорошее (для беспроводной гарнитуры), для спортзала подойдет, для ценителей и аудиофилов не очень — на мой взгляд, типичный продукт на каждый день.

Выводы

В рознице беспроводная гарнитура стоит около 3 400 рублей, проводная примерно 1 600 – 2 000 рублей. Цены, мягко говоря, не очень привлекательные. Поясню, почему так считаю. Ведь Jabra Sport с Bluetooth — это утилитарный предмет, элемент спортивной экипировки. Да, она защищена от брызг, прекрасно сидит на ушах, кабель не мешает, есть радио. Но тут не самое удобное управление, малое время работы, да и громкость могла бы быть повыше. Красная цена в районе двух тысяч рублей, тогда смело можно рекомендовать к покупке. Что касается проводной версии, то 1600 рублей — это нормально, но, опять же, за что мы платим? За надежные наушники для спорта? Полагаю, мало кто решится потратить свои деньги на такой предмет. Для большинства потребителей покупка простых наушников за эти деньги превращается в поиск лучшего на каждый день и для самых разных ситуаций, а не в покупку специальной спортивной версии. Мне кажется, стоила бы эта гарнитура тысячу рублей — совсем другое дело.

В целом, продукты неплохие, и если цена вас не останавливает, можете присмотреться к обеим Jabra Sport. Вещички нишевые, интересные, но явно Sport — не хит продаж.

Jabra SPORT Bluetooth stereo headset review

The Jabra SPORT is a mostly wireless Bluetooth stereo headset aimed at a more active listener who doesn’t have time to deal with securing wires. It also appeals to those who don’t want to listen to them thumping during activity.

I’ll be doing some comparisons later between these and the BlueBuds X Sports Bluetooth earbuds, so if you haven’t had a chance to catch that review, you might want to.

Jabra SPORT in action

The Jabra SPORT earpiece is worn over the ears with the cable that connects the left and right ear pieces running behind your head (and ending up on your neck if you don’t have enough hair).

This particular device was the first Jabra in which I’ve ever had to switch from the default ear piece, but switching them out is pretty easy, and they feel just about indestructible.

When powering them up for the first time, you are walked through the setup via headset audio, guiding you to correctly connect your phone to the headset. It’s a pretty simple task of turning on Bluetooth, searching for a device, and connecting to the device named the Jabra SPORT. It’s the easiest possible Bluetooth pairing there is.

In my particular case, although seemingly correctly paired, audio would not play for some reason. I could hear the beeps of me changing the ringtone through the set, but music was playing through the speaker on my phone. I tapped a couple of things on my phone, and it immediately started playing out the headset. I’m assuming this was just my phone being a punk, but thought I would mention it here.

The nicest thing I noticed about these is that, when jogging or running about, there’s no booming noise. Unfortunately, there is no way to secure the cord that connects the left to the right behind your head, so the back of your neck is going to be being tapped unless you either rig something up or put it in some odd position. It’s not annoying for me, but I also don’t jog that fast.

When the headset is properly seated, most of the audio from the world goes away, but you still have a pretty solid sense of the louder things going on around you. It’s possible to override that by cranking up the volume, but you should reserve that for the gym and not the outdoors.

Jabra SPORT calling

I didn’t really like the in-call audio on it. This could have been my connection – I can hear things perfectly, but it didn’t sound quite right on the recording I left and listened to. However, I was in a very loud area each time I’ve did the call test, and I didn’t have any problem understanding.

Using the Jabra SPORT as a radio

If you’re tired of listening to your music, or you just don’t want to drain your phone any more, you can listen to FM radio by pressing a button. You change channels using the volume controls and holding them for a second to search either up or down on the radio dial.

The reception was great – most likely, it’s using that wire as an antenna.

Endomondo app integration

I did not test this, as I have quite honestly been a bit of a slacker in my exercise goals since the birth of my daughter, but the Jabra SPORT pairs with the app to provide an audio summary when you press a button.

Wrap-up

The Jabra SPORT is about a third of the price of the BlueBuds X. I think it’s also probably as much as most techno athletes need, but it probably does not scale up to the demands that the BlueBuds can.

The addition of the FM radio allows me to get my blood pumping listening to talk radio I disagree with, or just catch up on the news while I’m basically in brain-off mode, chugging along attempting to lose the baby weight.
