Jbl charge portable bluetooth speaker
Rated 5 out of 5 by Kimmer from You won’t believe this. I have the JBL Charge 4. Amazing true story! I accidentally dropped it in the burning barrel while burning trash. Unbelievably it still works. Check out the photos. Only thing is I can’t go real loud or it starts distorting. It never used to. And doesn’t hold a charge as long. I love my speaker it goes everywhere I go. I love loud music!! But unfortunately it stays home now. I am saving for the JBL CHARGE 5. But something keeps coming up and It’s hard to get enough saved Hopefully by summer. Amazing speaker. It’s a survivor like me!! Awesome speaker!! So it’s waterproof and pretty dang heat proof. Can’t wait to get my next new speaker. Kim
Rated 4 out of 5 by Made Ya Look from Great on the go! We are a huge JBL product supporter in our family. The Charge 4 seems the same as the charge 3 only a bit larger and it has a mono single speaker instead of a stereo dual speaker like the Charge 3. I probably prefer the smaller profile and better sound from the 3 but the 4 is still a perfect option for the beach and camping, etc. One improvement JBL can make overall is more power. The sound with any JBL product is always clean but it also feels like you should be getting a bit more power from all their products. Charge, Charge 3, Charge 4, Extreme2, Free Ear Buds. on another note JBL car audio subs are fantastic. quality built with plenty of power and reasonably priced.
Rated 5 out of 5 by JCooper from Well balanced sound I bought the charge 4 along with a charge 3 on black Friday to see for myself which one sounded better. If the charge 3 sounded better, like some claim, I didn’t want to pass up the deal for $89. I’m sending back the charge 3 and keeping the charge 4. Side by side the charge 4 has more bass and a cleaner more lifelike sound. I compared many songs and types of music, hands down the charge 4 wins. The charge three had almost no bass compared to the charge 4 and the charge 3 has too much sound in the mid high area of frequency range, not well balanced. I wanted the charge 3 to sound close to what the charge 4 did that way I would keep it, at such a great deal, and have two speakers to play together with the JBL connect plus.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Ya boi Ryan from Something I think the developers should work on Hello fellow JBL charge 4 owners (and hopefully developers). I just thought I would mention that this product is not at all able to play low bass and low volume. One might experience this while time to play the song «Time» by Hans Zimmer. I know the begin of the song is very soft and the volume low, however I cannot hear anything except static for the first 45 seconds of the song. Might I remind you that this is at minimum volume. Like another push of the minus volume button and it is mute. This product handles loud music and bass very well at higher volumes, but it cannot even play lower volume music. Thank you for taking the time to read this
Rated 1 out of 5 by Parallel from There are 2 different models! Buyer beware. Purchased 2 of these recently from an authorized dealer and received 2 different models of the speaker in my shipment. CHARGE4S and CHARGE4J. The model numbers on the box itself are the same, but the actual speakers inside are different! Setting them side by side there are notable physical differences such as a much thinner/see thru mesh on the J model. Also the charging indicator lights are dimmer and harder to see on the J. No telling what’s different inside. According the FCC filings the S has a 7500mah battery while the J has a 7800mah battery. Disappointing that I didn’t receive 2 of the same speaker. If you are going to change the hardware in the box you should release a new version and make it clear to customers which model they are getting.

Is there any way to stop that sound it makes when we switch it on? Think in a customer’s point of view, you are in the middle of the class and you pass it to your friend then he accidently pressed the power button?? Then boom that loud sound.
1. Download the JBL Connect app to your phone 2. Make sure that your JBL Charge 4 speaker is showing as "Connected" in your phone’s Bluetooth settings 3. Manually turn on your speaker 4. Open the JBL Connect app, and hold your phone near your speaker 5. An image of your speaker should appear on your phone. Tap it. 6. A new screen should appear with a gray "settings" icon at the bottom. Tap it. 7. Look for the toggle switch next to "Audio feedback sounds." Slide it to the off position. 8. Enjoy newfound sense of accomplishment.
Is this an upgrade from the Flip 4? I’ve been thinking about upgrading. Should I get the Charge 4? (If they ever release the Xtreme 2 in Red, Void this question, I buy instantly 🙂
Can this be blue toothed to an Echo Plus
It would depend if your Echo plus can connect to a Bluetooth speaker. Since the JBL Charge 4 is a bluetooth speaker it should connect.
Simple question dont twist it, is the charge 4 louder then the charge 3
Can charge 4 connect with charge 3?
Can I use the AC charger from my original, 1st generation Charge speaker to charge my soon-to-arrive Charge 4? It’s labelled as 100-240V input, with 5V/2.3A output. Thank you.
I’ve been using a 5V/2.0A. Seems to work fine. The spec on the charge 4 list a 5V/2.3A in the charge time spot so yours should be fine as well
I have a jbl pulse 3. Should I upgrade to the charge 4.
I wouldn’t. I dont think its worth it unless you want better battery life and slightly better low end. Personally I have the Pulse 3 and Flip 4 and use them in party mode. The two speakers sound really good together when playing them together.
My JBL Charge 4 is taking up to 12 hours to charge 50%. Im trying to find support
