Если вы собираетесь в отпуск в Абхазию, и вам жизненно необходим доступ в Интернет (действительно, на работе случается всякое), вам пригодится мой скромный опыт.

Перед отпуском я себе купил модем Huawei E160G (подключившись к услуге Мегафон-Модем+). К сожалению, я вероятно, читал невнимательно: в Интернете было написано, что модемы Мегафона не заблокированы под конкретного оператора. Сейчас я уже точно знаю, что это не так, и что нужно брать либо старый (незалоченный) модем Мегафона, либо новый от Билайна (хотя Билайн я сам не “щупал” и не могу быть уверен).

Местный оператор сотовой связи, Аквафон (Aquafon) предлагает очень интересные тарифы. В частности, звонки в Россию (стоимостью 6 рублей за минуту – например, для меня с МТС-Мордовия звонок в Абхазию стоит 16 рублей за минуту, т.е. почти втрое дороже). Но сейчас речь не об этом, а о скоростном доступе в Интернет.

Теоретически, сотовый оператор Aquafon полностью покрывает Абхазию, и, если верить рекламе, 3G интернет есть во всех крупных городах Абхазии. Есть возможность купить модем+трафик (в Гагре в офисе Аквафона модемов в наличии не было), либо подключиться на тарифный план с минимальной стоимостью подключения (220 рублей, 160 рублей на счету), положить на счет еще 1100 рублей и купить себе 1 Гб трафика (1200 рублей).

Подключаться с покупкой модема имеет смысл, если у вас нет 3G-модема, или если вам нужно очень много трафика (от 4 Гб) в месяц. Так, например, при покупке 4 Гб трафика, стоимость мегабайта составит 70 коп. (на сайте Аквафона просто считать не умеют: 2800 руб. за 4000 Мбайт, это именно 70 копеек, надо 2800 делить на 4000, а не наоборот). Ах да, модем Аквафон не залочен под оператора – и использовать его можно будет и в России с любыми сотовыми операторами.

Насчет EDGE, кстати, они врут: у меня с 1 палкой из 5 возможных есть Megafon EDGE, но вот Aquafon EDGE отсутствует как класс (как минимум 2 мобильника не видят здесь никакого EDGE). Ну да бог с ним, с EDGE: нас интересует нормальная связь с пингом 400 мс вместо 1000 мс, разве нет?

Мне пришлось разблокировать мой 3G-модем, чему я был немало удивлен – рассчитывал на то, что он не залочен. Два дня я боролся с жабой (разлочка в основном стоит от 600 до 800 рублей – а это полгига трафика, как-никак, ну или несколько бутылок чачи), но потом решился. А уж если решился, – то нашел очень дешевый вариант. Аська консультанта 115289204, мне разблокировка обошлась в 360 рублей (это не реклама, просто опыт).

Но дальше – началась сказка. У нас в Мордовии, к сожалению, 3G отсутствует – но на природе мне и EDGE через модем раньше казался сказкой. Здесь я понял, каким может быть мобильный интернет. Надписи “3,6 Мбит/с” я, конечно, не поверил… и правильно сделал (а может, надо просто поехать в Cухум для таких скоростей). Но средняя скорость скачивания с alawar.ru здесь составляла 55-60 Кб/с, пики до 160 Кб/с – весьма неплохо, у меня дома примерно так же (правда, трафик безлимитный).

Пинг до наших серверов (в Питере) составляет в среднем 380 мс, потерь нет. В общем, если что – к работе я готов :-).
