When a new version of the Bomb Defusal Manual becomes available, you will need to unlock your game again by providing the new manual’s verification code. This makes it easy to know when you need to reprint or download a new Bomb Defusal Manual version.

Game Overview

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a local multiplayer party game for two or more players. The objective of the game is defuse a bomb before time runs out by using the instructions found in the Bomb Defusal Manual.

One player takes the role of the bomb Defuser. All other players take the role of Experts who must use the Bomb Defusal Manual to guide the Defuser through the challenging task of defusing a bomb.

Requirements

1. Windows 7 or higher for PC. Mac OS X 10.9 or higher for Mac. SteamOS/Ubuntu 16.04 or later for Linux.
2. A mouse, trackpad, or gamepad can be used to play.
3. Two or more players.
   • Play locally with friends in the same room or play remotely using your favorite voice chat service.
   • Any number of players can participate as Experts: it’s up to the Experts to work efficiently as a team!
4. A copy of the Bomb Defusal Manual in paper or digital form.

About The Game

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a local co-op game for two or more players. The objective of the game is to defuse the bomb before the timer runs out with the help of the Bomb Disposal Guide . One player assumes the role of a sapper, and the other players do not see the bomb, and with the help of the bomb disposal manual they help him defuse it. Each round is extremely fast, tense, sometimes stupid and almost always loud. Everyone has a role to play, whether it’s to defuse the bomb or understand the instructions in the manual. How to Download & Install Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes Linux Game

1. Click the Download link below and you should already have installed a download client on your system.
2. Notification will pop and say “that our site wants to open this application”. Click the button to open the client to let the download begin and wait for it to finish.
3. Once Game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes for linux is done downloading, Extract (Unzip) “*******.tar.gz” -if you encounter this file- (To do this you must know how extract .tar.gz Files using Linux Command Line here).

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is now available for SteamOS/Linux! There are a few important things to know first:

All features of the game, with the exception of VR, work in the Linux version of the game. This includes Workshop and mod support!

Please note that VR is only supported in the Windows version.

We’re a very small team with limited Linux experience compared to many here in the community, so we could definitely use some help finding issues and helping other players find solutions, particularly for distributions other than Ubuntu 16.04 and SteamOS. Please post any problems you run into here. And if you can, help out fellow players if you happen to know how to fix any problems they run into.

Note that we’ll be winding down for a bit of much-needed rest over the winter break, so we likely won’t be able to address all issues until the new year.

Please post all technical issues and solutions in this thread!

No special steps are required. You should see the Linux build on the default public branch.

The old sticky post was mostly about OS X and Linux, so we’ve started a new thread here if you’d like to keep the discussion going.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes adds a Linux Beta, not officially supported

I have to say, this looks incredibly fun! The developers of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes [Steam, Official Site] have put up a Beta build for Linux gamers.

Of course, you do need to own a copy of it on Steam to actually access it. To do so, you need to switch to the «linux_beta» branch on Steam. From what I’ve seen, it seems it’s built with an older version of Unity that has the dreaded fullscreen bug, so you may need to use this as a launch option:

You can find the announcement here. The developer does note very clearly that the Linux Beta is not currently supported, however, it also seems clear that they do want to support Linux. They seem to be using this Beta to see how well it runs before making anything official. A good way to do it, I wish more developers tested the waters like this.

About the game:

In Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, one player is trapped in a virtual room with a ticking time bomb they must defuse. The other players are the “Experts” who must give the instructions to defuse the bomb by deciphering the information found in the bomb defusal manual. But there’s a catch: the experts can’t see the bomb, so everyone will need to talk it out – fast!

Rounds are fast-paced, tense, occasionally silly, and almost always loud. Everybody has a role to play whether they are defusing the bomb or not. Swap out between rounds and share the experience with all of your friends!

Puzzle solving and communication skills — and maybe a few friendships — will be put to the test as players race to defuse bombs while communicating quickly, clearly, and effectively.
