How to Connect Your Appliances to Wifi and LG ThinQ
How to connect your LG appliances with your home wifi and use LG ThinQ App to bring out optimum performance of your appliance.

How to Download LG ThinQ
From your HOME screen, select GOOGLE PLAY app to launch the Google’s Play Store where you can download LG ThinQ
Agree to the permissions prompt by selecting ALLOW LG ThinQ to access your location, make calls and save images.
You need to register or sign-in into LG ThinQ. If you have voice assistant products such as amazon echo or google assistant, it is highly recommended that you use the same login information.
Sign-up using Google, Facebook, Amazon or create an account using your email and password. NOTE: This account is different from LG.com or LG community forum account.
Choose the + button to add your <> . to LG ThinQ App
How to use Tag on Feature:
- Turn on the NFC function on your mobile phone and turn the «READ/WRITE» and «P2P RECEIVING» to ON.
- The NFC antenna position may vary depending on the device.
How to add your > to LG ThinQ
From LG ThinQ app, Choose the + button to add your television.
Select your TV from the list of products.
Press the HOME button on the remote control and launch «SETUP TV for Google Assistant» app on your TV.
Follow the setup guide on your TV to complete the TV registration.
NOTE: The TV will not be listed on the dashboard of your LG ThinQ app. This is normal.
Choose the + button to add your > .
Ensure there are no obstacles between your router and the appliance.
Select your > from the product list.
Does your > have a ThinQ logo?
Does your > have a Tag On logo?
If you have Tag On, follow the steps on how to use Tag On feature by selecting Location Guide from your mobile app.
Does your > have a Smart Diagnosis logo? Select «Location Guide» on your mobile app for more information.
Does your > have a touch screen? This step on the app may be confusing.
NOTE: Select NO if your appliance dashboard does not look like the picture on your mobile screen!
Follow the prompts on your LG ThinQ app, press and hold the Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi option button on your device as described on the app.
4 <> Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi?Check the stage for «Does your > have a touch screen?». Ensure that you are selecting the right option to connect/pair your appliance. If your dashboard does not look EXACTLY like the image displayed on your mobile phone, then select «NO» option instead of YES.
How to Download LG ThinQ
From your HOME screen, select APP STORE app to launch the Apple’s’s app, then Search for LG ThinQ.
Agree to the permissions prompt by selecting ALLOW LG ThinQ to access your location, make calls and save images.
You need to register or sign-in into LG ThinQ. If you have voice assistant products such as amazon echo or google assistant, it is highly recommended that you use the same login information.

If you have Tag On, follow the steps on how to use Tag On feature by selecting Location Guide from your mobile app.
Follow the prompts on your LG ThinQ app, press and hold the Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi option button on your device as described on the app.
Select «VERIFY CONNECTION» button after the WI-FI connection is completed.
4 <> cannot connect to Wi-Fi?Check the stage for «Does your > have a touch screen?». Ensure that you are selecting the right option to connect/pair your appliance. If your dashboard does NOT look EXACTLY like the image displayed on your mobile phone, then select «NO» option instead of YES.
5 What is the password to the <> ‘s Internet?During the process to connect your <> to LG ThinQ. Your <> will generate its own pre-build Wi-Fi connection that will enable it to communicate with your mobile device. This process is still using your normal home internet. The password to the Wi-Fi is the last 4 DIGITS at the end of the WI-FI connection name REPEATED TWICE . For example, if your Wi-Fi name is LG_SMART- > _AJ_ 56E4 , the password is 56E456E4
NOTE: You must repeat this 4 digit codes TWICE!
