Делаем Linux терминал красивым и удобным

Все дистрибутивы Linux поставляются с функциональным и кастомизируемым эмулятором терминала. В интернете, а порой даже в самом терминале, есть масса готовых тем, чтоб он красиво выглядел. Однако, чтоб сделать из стандартного терминала (в любом DE, любого дистрибутива) нечто красивое и одновременно удобное и простое в использовании я потратил много времени. Итак, как же сделать дефолтный терминал удобным и приятным в использовании?

Добавляем функциональность

Командная оболочка

Большинство дистрибутивов поставляется со встроенным Bash. Используя дополнения можно сделать из него все что захотите, но гораздо проще этого добиться с Zsh. Почему?

• Продвинутая механика автодополнения команд по нажатию или . В отличие от Bash, вам не нужно это настраивать, все работает на высшем уровне прямо «из коробки».
• Множество готовых тем, модулей, плагинов и прочего. Настраиваемость через фреймворки (oh-my-zsh, prezto и др.), которые значительно расширяют возможности кастомизации и улучшения терминала. Опять же, всего этого можно добиться и в Bash, но для Zsh масса уже готовых материалов. Для Bash их значительно меньше, а некоторых вовсе нет.

Настройка Zsh

Для начала, установим Zsh (если он уже установлен, например, как в Manjaro, можете пропустить этот пункт):

Когда вам предложат установить Zsh как оболочка по-умолчанию, нажмите Y , чтоб подтвердить.

Oh-My-Zsh — популярный и активно развивающийся фреймворк Zsh, который позволяет гибко настроить оболочку терминала. Установим его:

sh -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.github.com/ohmyzsh/ohmyzsh/master/tools/install.sh)"

Подсветка синтаксиса. Гораздо проще ориентироваться по содержимому терминала, когда разные части команд подсвечены разными цветами. Например, директории будут подчеркиваться, а команды — выделяться цветом, отличным от обычного текста. Установим плагин zsh-syntax-highlighting :

git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-syntax-highlighting.git $ZSH_CUSTOM/plugins/zsh-syntax-highlighting

Чтоб плагин заработал, его надо подключить.

В файле ~/.zshrc меняем строку с plugins= :

plugins=(git zsh-syntax-highlighting)

Если такой строки нет — добавьте её.

Готово! Получаем удобный и функциональный терминал. Теперь сделаем его визуально приятным.

Настраиваем внешний вид

git clone https://github.com/romkatv/powerlevel10k.git $ZSH_CUSTOM/themes/powerlevel10k

Скачиваем и добавляем в систему шрифт JetBrains Mono Nerd (c иконками):
Выберитеодин из списка, в папке шрифт/complete выберите шрифт без «Windows Compatible», с окончанием «Mono».

Если в файле эти строки уже есть — замените их.

В разных терминалах по-разному меняется цветовая схема (обычно, это делается через настройки терминала), но порядок цветов везде одинаковый. Вы можете импортировать этот шаблон в формате Termite и экспортировать его для вашего терминала через terminal.sexy

Запускаем конфигурацию темы: p10k configure .
Настройте тему, выбирая варианты отображения, которые вам больше нравятся.

Финальный штрих — меняем конфиг темы и заменяем встроенные цвета.

Если в файле эти строки уже есть — замените их. Коды цветов можно получить командой

How To Install ZSH in Kali Linux | Make Terminal Colorful

In this article, I will show my implementations of ZSH (Z shell), which is a better shell alternative to BASH, and here I will show about themes and plugins which are suitable for everyone and how to install ZSH in Kali Linux to make terminal colorful.

What is ZSH

Zsh also is known as Z shell, is a Unix shell that that is an extended version of the Bourne Shell (sh), with many new features and supports many plugins and themes. It is the best alternative to Bash with a cool and stylish shell interface including some features of Bash. ksh and tcsh.

Why ZSH?

ZSH is an awesome shell that just makes everything a bit simpler with its plugins like auto-suggestions, syntax-completing tasks, etc. ZSH has many features like autosuggestion, spelling correction, auto jump, syntax-highlighting, or many more plugins and theme support.

Before installing Zsh: Dependencies

Packages that are supportive to Zsh you need to install it:

• zsh – ZSH shell.
• Oh My Zsh – it is an open-source, community-driven framework for managing your zsh configuration
• zsh-syntax-highlighting – This package provides syntax highlighting for the shell Zsh.
• zsh-autosuggestions – It suggests commands as you type based on history and completions.

How To Install ZSH in Kali Linux

After installing the Zsh we have to install the Oh My Zsh for cool themes and plugins.

Install oh-my-zsh

oh-my-zsh Vai Curl

$ sh -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.github.com/ohmyzsh/ohmyzsh/master/tools/install.sh)"

Installing oh-my-zsh Vai wget

$ sh -c "$(wget https://raw.github.com/ohmyzsh/ohmyzsh/master/tools/install.sh -O -)"

Install zsh-autosuggestions

git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-autosuggestions $:-~/.oh-my-zsh/custom>/plugins/zsh-autosuggestions

zsh-syntax-highlighting

git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-syntax-highlighting.git $:-~/.oh-my-zsh/custom>/plugins/zsh-syntax-highlighting

Complete Switch from BASH to ZSH

Now we have to completely switch Bash to Zsh so you have to type the following command:

And after that, you have to logout from the current user and log in again. Your Zsh is installed. You can check by this:

Here you can check your user at the end from /bin/bash to /bin/zsh . So now your user shell completely changed Bash to Zsh.

Change the Zsh Themes

Now you have installed all the dependencies which are required, so now we will change the ZSH theme you have to edit the .zshrc file to change the themes.

$ sudo nano /home/username/.zshrc

Selecting a Theme

Oh-My-Zsh is the main plugin framework for ZSH, and it comes with many pre-built plugins and themes, you have to just change the name of the theme ZSH_THEME=»pygmalion» and your Zsh theme will be changed.

Oh-My-Zsh plugins:

Oh My Zsh comes with a large number of plugins to take advantage of. You can take a look at the plugins directory ls /home/techdhee/.oh-my-zsh/plugins

Enabling Plugins

Once you select a plugin that you want to use with Oh My Zsh, you have to enable them in the .zshrc file. Open it with your favorite text editor and you have to see a spot to list all the plugins you want to load.

$ sudo nano /home/username/.zshrc

plugins= ( git zsh-autosuggestions zsh-syntax-highlighting )

Save the file and use the new shell with a new theme and plugins.
