might be useful in installing Ubuntu Linux drivers for Radeon 530.
It is a little outdated but I imagine you can install the 18.04 version from here : Radeon™ Software for Linux® 18.20 Release Notes but doesn’t mention if it is compatible with Laptops or not.

now that there are past a few months. I do have the same Problem.
I have an
Dell Inspiron 17 5770 2018, Core i7-8550U, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 256GB SSD (5770-0371)
and it has a graphicscard AMD Radeon 530, 4GB, HDMI.
I tried installing the driver on Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04 . None of them is working.
Is there a solution?

Installing Radeon 530 driver
Could anyone please help me installing the AMDGPU driver for Radeon 530 (notebook edition)? The AMD site says that Ubuntu 16.04 is supported (https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/radeon-530), but I can’t get it working. If I install amdgpu-pro, I can’t advance from the login screen, if I install the normal amdgpu driver, I can log in, but apparently the system still uses the Intel integrated graphics, with the modification that the transparent windows (like sidebar, launcher) are not transparent anymore. Before I get the duplicated question status with Which driver for AMD Radeon 530 graphics card and Ubuntu 14.04.5/16.04 and newer on AMD graphics they don’t answer my question and my card should be supported. Thank you for any useful input in advance!

I have a Dell Inspiron 5570, which has the same GPU with the one you mention.
Using any ubuntu 18.04 flavour (I’ve tested it with ubuntu-mate and xubuntu) it installs the amdgpu driver and is functional.
My issue with the specific GPU is that it performs far worse than the intel 620 one. With glmark2 I get for INTEL:

To have the latest mesa I use the padoka drivers, maybe this will improve somewhat the performance and overall experience in your case too, with intel performing far better that the AMD gpu.
No driver for AMD 530 graphics on Ubuntu 20.04
How can I install AMD 530 graphics for Ubuntu 20.04? I tried using these steps but there is no support for this specific driver. Is there any solution to this? The ubuntu installs a gpu driver for my AMD graphics card but it doesn’t match with my version of the card. Such that my card is AMD radeon 530 and it installs for AMD Radeon™ RX 550/560/570/580/590 Series Graphics.
You don’t need any driver. And it doesn’t matter which GPU is that. Kernel supports all of them. This is not like in Windows where you need drivers to be installed for near to each piece of hardware.
but when I perform Lenovo hardware diagnosis it doesn’t detect the GPU it throws some error like something related to OpenCL. And what’s the proof it detects the exact GPU and it works.
I have no idea what is «Lenovo hardware diagnosis». Is it a Linux program? You can check by lspci -k | grep -EA3 ‘VGA|3D|Display’ and glxinfo | grep OpenGL commands.

I use Radeon 530 grapics.
It is not wrong. You can see that it is listed, but even if it didn’t, it doesn’t really matter. This is not how it works. amdgpu is the driver for all of those.
Linux amd radeon 530
I have a Dell Inspiron 5570 with a dedicated GPU AMD Radeon 530. I am running ubuntu mate 18.04.
The performance of the AMD GPU is worst compared to the Intel one.
I have installed oibaf drivers , which are also recommended here .
inxi -G returns the following

When I run glmark2, I get for Intel:

[build] use-vbo=true: FPS: 165 FrameTime: 6.061 ms
Should I install a different driver for amd?
Any suggestion or reference would be really helpful.
