FTP client with a good GUI?

I love linux because I get control over my system. But I do herald from the school of mac, where things are simple, beautiful, and powerful. I like it that way, as opposed to having lots of knobs and levers and everything. Does anyone know of a strong FTP client for linux that is in the vein of Panic’s Transmit? It’s my choice FTP software in Mac OS, but I doubt I need to convince anyone here that I don’t want to DEVELOP web apps in OS X. It’s a pain, imo. Currently I use Filezilla. It works fine. But it’s UI is a mess, imho.

Since you’re using Gnome on Ubuntu, why not use the default file manager (Nautilus)?

Nicer FTP client than FileZilla?

FileZilla is really kind of «meh,» when it comes to user interface. I’m wondering if there’s something simpler/cleaner/slicker out there?

I second you, still no good FTP client for ubuntu. I use SmartFTP on windows and am trying to switch to Ubuntu but having hard time finding comparable software.

@Ejaz: As some people have asked elsewhere, it’s more useful if you tell what is missing that you really need or what really bothers you.

@JanC thanks for asking for suggestions. I would love to see these three missing features implemented. 1. Download/Upload buttons for selected files 2. Drag’n drop to file explorer 3. Address/location bar that spans width of local/remote window in «Widescreen» layout.
