Make sure you read the sticky at the start of this forum about getting your wifi to work. You may not need to go through the following process.

Assuming you have the right driver, the process for installing it is essentially this:

1) Unpack the downloaded file (sometimes referred to as a «tarball») into a convenient directory. To unpack it you can click on the downloaded file and it will open a program that will unpack it for you. Use the prompts to locate the directory where you want to unpack it (i.e. If you like to make a Toshiba directory in your «home» folder).

2) the next bit can be a bit tricky because it requires you to use the «command line», that is, you open the «Terminal».
In Terminal you will have to change to the directory where you unpacked the download to. The command line is something like this:
CD /home/yourname/Toshiba [enter] That should get you there assuming you created a Toshiba folder when you unpacked the tarball.

3) Once your are in the «Toshiba» directory you now do this: sudo ./configure
Enter your password and watch the process unfold.

5) Next type: sudo make install

And that should install the driver.

These are only general instructions for this and there can be a number of variables. Google for further instruction on how to install Linux packages.
