[SOLVED] Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon — Bluetooth not working — No matter what device
Post by SHUred » Wed Nov 11, 2020 1:14 pm
Hello everyone,
i thought i’d find already a topic for this, but nothing seemed to fit.
Following situation:
Im using Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon on desktop PC and on a Laptop
Both have been installed clean (no upgrade)
Never used bluetooth with Linux, but now im trying to
Situation:
I think standard bluetooth-application is blueman?
- Bought myself a USB-dongle
- If i plug in the dongle, the blueman-gui immediately shows «searching for devices»
- If i unplug the bluetooth-dongle —> «No adapter found» is shown
- If im using bt-adapter —list —> No adapters found
- There are definately bluetooth devices around, but none is found
- Already has internal bluetooth-adapter —> Same result
- When plugging in the USB-Adapter additionally —> Same result
I did alredy try some stuff i found in other boards, but none of these helped for me
Here some informations about my desktop PC.
If you need more i will add this information

[SOLVED] MInt 19 bluetooth problems
Post by all41 » Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:06 am
It seems nothing has changed in Mint 19 regarding bluetooth connectivity.
I use a T651 Wireless Trackpad which gets recognized, paired, and connected.
But after reboot I have to go back into the gui, select the recognized device, and enter reconnect to get it to work.
This is a continuing issue I had in 17.3 where I was able to mitigate by:
This does not work with Mint 19.
Not a major issue, but a nag—after boot I have to, click on the bluetooth panel icon, click on the recognized device and select ‘On’ and do this every boot.
Also tried removing blueberry and installing blueman—same results.
Does someone have an idea how to automate this bluetooth connection using Mint 19?
