openSUSE 12.3 on Android

Here is a new image for your armv7l powered phone or tablet(any recent dual core device should work), you can get openSUSE 12.3 XFCE running on it without the need for repartition, formats, bootloader hacks or sacrificing your nicely running latest android on it. What you need is rooted device with busybox, Android VNC and terminal app installed and 4GB free space on sdcard(internal or external).

Instructions to run it are same as mentioned earlier. In addition to those you can also use LinuxonAndroid app with patched bootscript.sh. Replace /data/data/com.zpwebsites.linuxonandroid/files/bootscript.sh on your device with the patched one and follow the directions shown here(last 3 images):

Run Linux On Android Without Root Access, thanks for the Awesome Termux and PRoot, which make this project possible.

if you don’t have access to Play Store.

The bash script download image over internet, then decompress the image and then mount it using PRoot.

We currently support 5 Desktop Environments, and only some distros are supported.

Supported Desktop Environments:

We currently support 2 Desktop Environments, and only Ubuntu, Debian, Kali, Parrot Security OS, Fedora distros are supported.

KDE and GNOME DE support. (Might retest other blacklisted DE too)
Audio support.
Fix PRoot error.
Might consider support BSD distro.

This app requires Termux to work, it can be install from Play Store or from F-Droid if you don’t have access to Play Store
