MID WiFi (Free) 4+
After getting a fully bidirectional seatalk wifi bridge (NMEA3WIFI), the auto pilot controls work.
The UI is glitchy and appears to require internet.
My old iPad appears to work better than newer iPhone.
Couldn’t find the “set” button
Couldn’t find the “set” button mentioned in the instructions. Therefore couldn’t evaluate the NMEA functionality. In any case the idea to tap on displays in a round robin fashion (i.e. having to to tap an unknown number of times to get back) is super frustrating and is a no-go. We are in 2nd decade of the 21st century. Why mimic something from the 90s?
So much potential — and almost there
Gave this 3 stars because it has so much potential. Currently not usable and do not get the paid version or you will be unhappy! ****Save your money and read this review****
1) some data from nmea1083 stream comes in fine but depth does not and wind data is intermittent. Same data stream to other apps was solid.
2) iPad is stuck in setting screen where you configure server. Server is configured and you can see data stream, but you cannot get to done button or error report button. Have reset iPad, rebooted, and deleted and reinstalled app. No change so it is stuck. iPhone does not have this issue.
3) please allow changing of data field by long press to bring up menu to scroll through available data fields- as opposed to endless taping to cycle through fields.
4) allow a temp license for paid application.
5) allow user to customize how many data fields are shown. Would be great to use iPad as a mast display and have 4-5 fields shown so that you can read field heading and units from a distance.
Fix these, make it stable and I would gladly pay $40+ for this application. Let me know if the android version is better and I would go that route!

WOAI 4 Zone Weather 4+
Better weather forecast locally than other weather apps, but it runs very slowly and constantly kicks me off so I have to re-open the app. Also, it is not kept up-to-date. First thing in the morning, the forecast on the app is different from what the television forecast says. Fix this app so it doesn’t kick me off and I will raise the rating to 4 stars. Fix the app so that it says the same thing as the television forecast and I will raise my rating to five stars. Update: I have reduced the rating to two stars. Although I have set a location in Settings, most of the time when I open the app, it displays a map of the entire United states and I have to set my location all over again. this does not happen on my iPad. I have gone to the Help section in settings, and there is no way to report this or any other issue to the developer and get any kind of response. there is also no way to delete a location from the location list.
Temp forecast differences within app
Love the app. Most accurate weather app. However, there are differences in temperature forecasts within the app for the same day. Hourly temp function shows highs and lows that are different than the Daily temp function for the same day. Even within the Daily function there is differences in temp high and low. The summary function temp high and low does not match the temps in the detailed description for the same day. For example, hourly function low temp shows 42, but daily function summary shows 38 as tonight’s low. The daily function detailed description shows 39 as the low. So is the low temp for tonight going to be 42, 39, or 38?

Smart Life — Smart Living 4+
Nice basic intuitive app if you like to set up your own settings, Scenes.
Ultimately the products associated with the app are vfm which is why I have used the app. The app could be better in control and less clunky when using the widget. The app controls the Product and although I have many home utilities on the network smart life reconnects pretty seemless when unplugged and replugged into the mains. All in all I have less issue with smart life products and app than I do with the expensive alternative hue products.
Smart life quality and credible products that genuinely work in your home at the fraction of the cost of Philips. app software and product software support also much easier to manage and work with. Thank you smart life — love your colour range, perfect.
Thank you
Excellent but could be improved.
I’ve primarily downloaded this app to monitor and control a remote location. I currently have a Wi-fi temperature and humidity sensor plus two smart plugs, one with a heater connected, the other a dehumidifier. The app works really well and the remote devices respond quicker to manual commands than other apps that I use (including the Philips hue app). I’ve setup notifications to tell me when the temperature drops to a set level and the same for the humidity. it works well but my only suggestion for improvement would be to adjust or select the frequency of notifications on future updates. Last night alone, after receiving my initial ‘temperature low’ notification, I received in excess of 100 notifications; as the app continues to report the low temperature notification every minute or so, until I disable notifications altogether. If I were able to set a duration between the same notification, say for example 30mins, that would make the notifications more tolerable.
One could argue that the app is doing its job and I’d agree, but to build-in additional flexibility would make it more versatile for other uses and would definitely help me.
A great app though, very easy to use with clear controls — keep up the great work.
Always exuses
This app was great when they started. Now it is more laggy and outdated and broken. Well all smart functions like add our own pictures under sockets or switches became unavailable because the company claim crap about law. Also widgets removed and replaced with voice and again only excuses from company why they can not do it. Look on Philips they can still do widgets and you can not? Joke. This company is going down the road and I hole there will be someone else who will be interested to be smart. This company has only excuses and can not even provided proof on what they are saying and always blame someone or something to at fault. They are not smart anymore and all non important functions could be removed like crapy weather and stuff like that to make the app faster and more reliable. The can not even mentioned which Law will not allow them to put the function back that we can put our own pictures under sockets and switches but well what I can say it was great when they started now it is time to move on. Too laggy most of the smart features removed completely. Big fail for me.

AprilAire Wi-Fi Thermostat App 4+
Temp control and scheduling is really good app interface allows easy adjustment and copying features in the scheduling is perfect. With 4 time points to adjust temp in the schedule, fits very well for our family.
Those features I would give 4.5 stars.
The clean air features are another story. Not all features are a silo me in the app, like comfort mode with fresh air. The bigger issue is the a availability of the settings for clean air is inconsistent. For no rhyme or reason, the options are available in the app. I state it this way, because most of the time you cannot see any options to setup the clean site functionality in the app. The menu is blank. From time to time you see the options, but no all features are always there when you see any options.
This needs to be fixed, it’s very annoying and reduces the benefit of having this linked system.
1 Star.
Schedule Programming
This app only allows users to create 4 temperature schedule adjustments per day. If users could have perhaps 10-12 schedule adjustments per day then users could better balance comfort and peak hour rates from our utilities. Other similar thermostat apps like Nest and Ecobee offer infinite adjustments throughout the day and excellent scheduling capabilities including away from home options and geofencing. More adjustments throughout the day would allow users to reduce their utility bills and ultimately reduce power consumption and could help curb power demands, climate change, rolling blackouts, etc. I hope this review is read by the developers of this app and the management of Aprilaire. Aprilaire makes great products and the app should be just as good as the hardware installed in our homes.
Horrible.
I just recently purchased a new build home and they supplied us with this “WIFI Thermostat”. The thermostat almost never works. It says connected to the internet, then you can never access it through this worthless app. I’ve read a lot of reviews and it seems I’m not alone. Looks like the company doesn’t do anything about it either.
Shouldn’t be called a wireless thermostat if you can’t access it wirelessly. Login fails 99 times out of 100, then randomly the thermostats loses signal. The weather option never worked from the start. This thermostat was a nice selling point of the home since it’s a 2-story, we wouldn’t have to run downstairs anything we wanted to adjust it.
I know you probably either just bought it, or got a new house with it, but in short, cut your loss rip it out and put in a Nest or something similar, at least they don’t sell garbage and you can count on the other brands to just work all of the time.
