Mercusys wireless adapter not working

So i installed linux mint yesterday but only wire network works .I have an mercusys mw300 um and it worked in windows 10. I can’t find any drivers and i don’t know how to install them (i am a complete beginer to this os).

I did a little googling for that device. I gather that it is a USB device? If so, open a terminal and enter the command lsusb , then copy/paste whatever that spits out into your next post. That should give us an idea of what chipset is in that device, which will be needed in order to get drivers installed and working. From my searching, I think that it’s a Realtek chipset, but we need to know for sure before doing anything.

PS: I’m not the expert on wifi devices, but we do have somebody on the forums who is quite knowledgeable on them (Jeremy B). I’m just trying to get a headstart by getting some of the info Jeremy will probably want.

i don’t get it. here are the last 2 commands responses:

My username:~$ sudo dkms add ./rtl8188eu
Error! DKMS tree already contains: 8188eu-1.0
You cannot add the same module/version combo more than once.
My username:~$ sudo dkms install rtl8188eu/1.0Error! Could not find module source directory.
Directory: /usr/src/rtl8188eu-1.0 does not exist.

Нужна помощь с установкой драйверов для wi-fi адаптера.

Главная проблема — это отсутвие у меня какого-либо опыта при работе с Linux, из-за чего возможно мне и не помогли кучи других статей и сайтов, которые я гуглил до этого. К тому же у меня нет проводного интернета, из-за чего большинство статей, где нужно было что-то скачать через командную строку в линуксе, я просто отсеивал. И так как я уже не первый день морочу голову над этой проблемой, я решил поспрашивать на форумах.

Как можно установить драйвера на wi-fi адаптер «Mercusys AC650 Model: MU6H» для Ubuntu, может быть кто-то сталкивался с подобной проблемой или знает форумы, где я бы смог найти нужную мне информацию? Очень хочу перейти на Linux, но сейчас даже не могу его настроить, так как у меня нет интернета на этой ос.

Это рыночное название, так драйвера не найти. Нужно название чипа, так как даже в одной и той же модели могут пихать разные чипы.

Странный ты. Ну ты же в курсе, что мы тебе сейчас тоже консольных команд на советуем?

Например, ты мог бы показать выхлоп таких команд как lspci и lsmod запущенных из-под рута, справишься?

вместо Mercusys AC650 Model: MU6H показывай вывод команды
lspci -nnk | grep -EA2 ‘Eth|Net’

так ты сдвинешь свою проблему с мёртвой точки

При вводе этих команд ничего не выводится.

Но если ввести только lsusb, то выводится следующее сообщение:

It’s my fork from original RTL8192eu linux driver with support of Mercusys MW300UM. Run these commands:

sudo apt-get install dkms build-essential git git clone https://github.com/cyberkotov/mw300um-linux-driver.git cd mw300um-linux-driver sudo dkms add . sudo dkms install rtl8192eu/1.0 sudo reboot
