This week I installed Linux Mint on my Lenovo MIIX 300-10IBY (2in1 tablet pc), something corrupted my windows and also the recovery partition and restoring normal windows 10 gave too many problems with Lenovo and the screen rotation and other things, so I finally tried Linux. It’s my first few days with Linux, and converting, so far is not too difficult and I am wondering why I did not do this earlier.
But I am struggling to rotate the native portrait mode display (with touch) to landscape mode for the Mint Login screen. So far I managed to rotate Grub and add shortcut keys to launch .sh files for running a portrait and landscape mode, I know how to add this landscape mode as startup application but I need the Login screen also to rotate, this is my landscape.sh: /home/user/Scripts/landscape.sh:

[SeatDefault] display-setup-script=/home/user/Scripts/landscape.sh As /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/80-display-setup.conf and set to allow executing but on reboot Mint login screen is still in portrait, I tried different file names like 50-myconfig.conf and placed file in parent folder etc, I searched google and maybe tried about 20 different solutions, But I can’t get it to work. All I want is to be able to login with touchscreen, with tablet pc standing in landscape. This is my lightdm folders:
/etc/lightdm only contains: lightdm.conf.d, lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf.d, slick-greeter.conf and users.conf.
1- /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d only contains: 70-linuxmint.conf and my file 80-display-setup.conf.
2- /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf.d only contains: 99_linuxmint.conf
I looked at this: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LightDM and can’t figure out why it’s not working in my case?
Maybe a clue for someone who understand the log files:

Lenovo IdeaPad Miix 300-10IBY принадлежит к числу гибридных планшетов с 10-дюймовым дисплеем. Гибридная модель планшета от Lenovo весит 1174 граммов. Из них на долю собственно планшета приходится 621 грамм. Сделан Miix 300 преимущественно из черного пластика. Дисплей окаймляет серо-серебристая пластиковая рамка. Тыльная поверхность планшета имеет прорезиненное покрытие, снижающее вероятность того, что планшет выскользнет из рук. Устройство собрано качественно и без огрех. Столь же высокой оценки заслуживает и прочность корпуса. В стандартный комплект поставки уже включена клавиатура, так что приобретать её отдельно не придется. Съёмная клавиатура представляет собой конструкцию из жесткого пластика, а не, как это сейчас часто бывает, стандартный набор клавиш, смонтированный на гибкий лист из мягкого пластика.
Все порты и разъёмы, которые обычно встречаются на планшетах, встроены на данной модели в основной корпус планшета. Независимо от того, подсоединена ли съемная клавиатура, пользователю всегда доступен порт microUSB, через который планшет может подзаряжаться. Впрочем, на данном планшете предусмотрен и отдельный разъем для подключения штатного адаптера питания. На съёмной клавиатуре имеются два порта USB 2.0 Type-A.
Хотя установленный в данный планшет процессор основан на 64-битной архитектуре, на Miix 300 установлена 32-битная версия ОС Windows 10. Причиной такого решения является то, что 32-битная версия менее требовательна к производительности компонентов системы и более экономно расходует электроэнергию. Диск восстановления системы в стандартный комплект поставки не входит. Длина кабеля комплектного адаптера питания составляет 153 см.
