What is the LAN IP Address of a Router

The LAN IP Address of a router is also known as its internal IP address. It is also the IP address that you connect to when you want to configure your router. It is only useful from inside your network and has no use from the Internet side.

Routers have 2 IP addresses: an internal ip address and an external ip address. The external IP address is assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider, or ISP, and is generally not something that you can change. The internal IP address is set to a default value at the factory but can be changed if you want.

It is generally a good idea to make the last number of your router’s internal IP address a ‘1’, as in 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1. This is not necessary, but many people do it and it makes it a bit easier to remember which IP address is assigned to your router. Login To The Umax SWC-9200

Change the LAN IP Address on a Umax SWC-9200

If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen.

This guide starts on the Home page of the Umax SWC-9200 router. To change your IP address click LAN near the top of the page.

Configure the LAN section of your Umax SWC-9200

You should be brought to the page you see above.

This page allows you to change your router’s IP Address. Enter your new address into the provided box. Don’t quite know what you should change it to? One good option to try is 10.0.0.1

Just below that is the Subnet Mask. Leave this alone. It needs to stay at 255.255.255.0

That’s it! You’re finished. Just be sure to save your settings before leaving the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your LAN IP Address

When you change your LAN IP Address you are making a fundamental change to how your network functions and all computers on your network will be affected. You will lose your Internet connection when you apply these changes. Your router may reboot and require a couple of minutes to start responding again.

Also note that some computers may need to be rebooted after you make this change before they can talk to the router or on the Internet again.

Здравствуйте, помогите перепрошить роутер WiMAX SWC 9200. Точнее не перепрошить, а убрать стандартную прошивку и зашить туда обычную прошивку, что бы он мог раздавать обычный вай фай, не вай-мах, а просто работал как стандартный роутер, возможно ли такое?

тогда вам нужно как раз не стандартную прошивку, т.к. у этой модели нет wan порта, а wimax он не раздает, а подключается на этом стандарте к базовым станциям. Wifi у него и так должно нормально работать

Принесли такое чудо, но модель 5200. Его как мост сделал. Через провод свободно поднялся, а воздушку минут через 20 проверю как девайс wi-fi притащат.

В общем — бесполезно. LAN-LAN — перехватывает DHCP с внешнего типа WAN и передает в режиме маршрутиризатора. Думал такое для WI-FI покатит — нифига. В топку и продажа тому, у кого только беспроводка, и менять на нормальный роутер.

Setup WiFi on the Umax SWC-9200

The Umax SWC-9200 router is considered a wireless router because it offers WiFi connectivity. WiFi, or simply wireless, allows you to connect various devices to your router, such as wireless printers, smart televisions, and WiFi enabled smartphones.

WiFi Terms

Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Wireless Name

Your wireless network needs to have a name to uniquely identify it from other wireless networks. If you are not sure what this means we have a guide explaining what a wireless name is that you can read for more information.

An important part of securing your wireless network is choosing a strong password.

Picking a WiFi channel is not always a simple task. Be sure to read about WiFi channels before making the choice.

Encryption

You should almost definitely pick WPA2 for your networks encryption. If you are unsure, be sure to read our WEP vs WPA guide first.

Login To The Umax SWC-9200

To get started configuring the Umax SWC-9200 WiFi settings you need to login to your router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Find the WiFi Settings on the Umax SWC-9200

If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen.

Let’s begin this wireless setup guide on the Wizard page of the Umax SWC-9200 router. Click the link at the top of the page labeled WLAN. Then under that choose WiFi Setup.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Umax SWC-9200

In the WiFi Basic Setup section you can change the Channel if you need to. Make sure to use channels 1, 6, or 11 for the best results. Check out this WiFi Channels Guide for more information.

The next section is titled WiFi Security Setup. The first thing you can change in this section is titled Network Name (SSID). This is your network ID and should be unique to you. It’s not important what you enter here but we recommend avoiding personal information. Check out our Wireless Name guide for more on the topic.

Below that is the Authentication Mode. For the best security, choose WPA2-PSK or WPA2-AES. Learn why this is your best choice in this WEP vs. WPA guide.

You are then asked for a new Pre-shared Key or Passphrase. This is the internet password and should be strong. We recommend using at least 14 to 20 characters with some symbols, numbers, and capital letters. For more help, check out this Password guide.

Once that is done, click the Save button near the bottom of the page. That’s it, you are finished.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.

Больше года назад приобрели себе по акции ФРЕШТЕЛ WIMAX-роутер 4G. Качеством беспроводного интернета сразу остались довольны, так как в частном секторе выбор с интернетом не велик. С другими было слишком много проблем. ФРЕШТЕЛ SWC-9200 -многофункциональное устройство, позволяющее подключить WIMAX, Wi-Fi и услуги телефонии. WIMAX -телекоммуникационная технология, которая предоставляет возможности универсальной беспроводной связи на больших расстояниях. Он очень прост в настройке и использовании.

В комплект входят: главный блок, три антенны, инструкция, сетевой кабель, телефонный кабель, блок питания. Для лучшего удобства и пользования, советую приобрести кабель не меньше 10 метров.

На передней панели находятся индикаторы, показывающие работу роутера. Индикатор сигнала Wi-Fi, PHONE-если горит-телефон подключен. Во время связи моргает.LAN1/LAN2 -при подключении к РС горит, во время передачи данных моргает.WIMAX-индикатор сигнала.PWR-индикатор питания.1-5-это уровень сигналаWIMAX. Чем больше цифр горит, тем лучше сигнал.

Вид сзади немного сложнее. Первая антенна WIMAX Главная. Дальше идет LAN1/LAN2 -для подключения компьютера. Рядом маленькая черная кнопочка это сброс настроек до заводских. Антенна посередине -это Wi-Fi. Затем идет разъем для подключения телефона. Следующее-это подключение блока питания. Рядом кнопка включение/выключение главного блока. Третья антенна-это дополнительная антенна WIMAX.
Радиус Wi-Fi приблизительно двадцать метров.
Недалеко от нас находятся две базовые станции интернет, откуда поступает сигнал на наш роутер.
В инструкции есть подробное описание как подключить и настроить роутер к компьютеру. А так же вы с легкостью зарегистрируетесь в личном кабинете. По завершении регистрации Интернет от «ФрешТел» в вашем распоряжении. В личном кабинете можете проверить свой баланс.

На дне роутера есть крепление, для того чтоб его можно было прикрепить его к стене.

Интернет от ФРЕШТЕЛ-отличный. Проблем с ним нет. Смотрим фильмы и мультфильмы постоянно.
