Connect P900 to Windows PC via wi-fi?

I download photos from my P900 to my Android phone all the time. Works great. Is there a Windows app to use the P900’s wifi to connect to a PC? (Just spent 15 minutes downloading Nikon’s «ViewNX-i» software so I could xfer P900 files to my PC. Now step 1 in the instructions says: «Connect the USB cable». Well, sheesh, I don’t need their precious software to xfer files with a cable.) There should be an option for a wifi connection to PC. Shouldn’t there?

192.168.1.1 is likely your WiFi router’s IP address, and your computer’s WiFi is likely connected to it, rather than to the camera. In the camera’s WiFi settings, use the default «DHCP server IP address» of 192.168.0.10, then «Connect to smart device», press «OK», and then from your computer’s list of available WiFi connections, pick the one starting with «Nikon», which should appear shortly after you «Connect to smart device». After the computer is connected, in airnef, set the «Camera IP Address» to 192.168.0.10, click «Select on Computer», then click «Preview File List for Criteria», and you should see a list of files on the camera. If all that works so far, click «Start Download». It would probably be a good idea to set a password in the camera’s WiFi settings.
