Firmware

A firmware update can resolve issues that the previous firmware version may have and improve its current performance.

To Upgrade

IMPORTANT: To prevent upgrade failures, please read the following before proceeding with the upgrade process

• Please upgrade firmware from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device, otherwise it will be against the warranty. Please click here to change site if necessary.
• Please verify the hardware version of your device for the firmware version. Wrong firmware upgrade may damage your device and void the warranty. (Normally Vx.0=Vx.6/Vx.8 (eg:V1.0=V1.6/V1.8); Vx.x0=Vx.x6/Vx.x8 (eg:V1.20=V1.26/V1.28)
  How to find the hardware version on a TP-Link device
• Do NOT turn off the power during the upgrade process, as it may cause permanent damage to the product.
• To avoid wireless disconnect issue during firmware upgrade process, it’s recommended to upload firmware with wired connection unless there is no LAN/Ethernet port on your TP-Link device.
• It’s recommended that users stop all Internet applications on the computer, or simply disconnect Internet line from the device before the upgrade.
• Use decompression software such as WinZIP or WinRAR to extract the file you download before the upgrade.

Прошивка модема TP-Link TD-W8951ND

В этой небольшой инструкции я хочу подробно показать процесс обновления прошивки модема TP-Link TD-W8951ND. Это ADSL модем, который умеет раздавать интернет по Wi-Fi сети. Очень популярное устройство, которое устанавливают многие абоненты ADSL интернета. Модем и Wi-Fi роутер в одном устройстве, очень удобно. Не нужно устанавливать два устройства.

Для стабильной работы TP-Link TD-W8951ND рекомендуется обновлять прошивку. Сам архив с файлом прошивки можно скачать с официального сайта TP-Link. Затем, в панели управления модемом нужно выбрать прошивку и запустить обновление. Многие ищут именно русскую прошивку. Но сразу хочу сказать, что программное обеспечение с панелью управления на русском языке доступно не для всех аппаратных версий TD-W8951ND. Даже если настройки на английском языке, настроить данный модем совсем не сложно. Так что устанавливайте самую новую прошивку для своей аппаратной версии.

• Сначала нужно узнать аппаратную версию своего модема. Это очень важно. Если скачать прошивку не для своей аппаратной версии, то устройство может выйти из строя. Аппаратную версию можно посмотреть на наклейке снизу TD-W8951ND.
  У меня Ver: 6.0. Это значит, что прошивку мне нужно скачивать для аппаратной версии 6.
• Дальше переходим на сайт TP-Link: http://www.tp-linkru.com/download/TD-W8951ND.html и выбираем свою аппаратную версию.
  На вкладке «Встроенное ПО», или прошивка, загружаем необходимую прошивку. Смотрите на описание, дату выхода, версию и т. д. Новая находится в самом верху.
  Сохраните архив на компьютер.
• Откройте загруженный архив и извлеките из него файл «ras».
• Подключите TP-Link TD-W8951ND к ноутбуку, или ПК по сетевому кабелю.
  
  Wi-Fi отключите, если он есть на вашем компьютере. Прошивку нужно обновлять только по кабелю. По Wi-Fi – в крайних случаях и на свой страх и риск.

Обновляем программное обеспечение TP-Link TD-W8951ND

Для начала нужно зайти в настройки модема. Для этого, в браузере перейдите по адресу tplinkmodem.net, или 192.168.1.1. Если не получается зайти в настройки, то попробуйте еще 192.168.0.1. Появится страница, на которой нужно указать логин и пароль модема. Заводские: admin и admin. После этого должна открыться панель управления.

В настройках переходим в раздел «Maintenance» (Эксплуатация устройства) — «Firmware» (Встроенное ПО) .

1. Можно нажать на кнопку «ROMFILE SAVE» и сохранить все настройки роутера в файл. Чтобы после прошивки, если настройки слетят, восстановить их из файла, выбрав его на этой же странице в поле «New Romfile Location».
2. Нажмите на кнопку «Выберите файл» напротив пункта «New Firmware Location».
3. Выберите файл прошивки «ras» на компьютере.
4. Нажмите на кнопку «UPGRADE».

Начнется процесс обновления ПО. Ждем, пока все закончится. Модем перезагрузится, и появится окно авторизации для входа в настройки.

Хотел обновить прошивку модем-роутера ТП-Линк , но не рекомендуется устанавливать версию ПО, не предназначенную для своего региона, а в списке отсутствует наш регион, что делать?
