«Page crashed» on all pages!
Бывший пользователь отредактировано Opera has totally hung itself up. It was open in the background with one tab displaying a respected newspaper site. When I switched back to Opera it displayed the message «Page crashed. Unfortunately something caused this page to quit. It might have been an extension conflict or some other reason. Please try reloading the page.»
Reloading the page does not help.
Closed Opera, cleared cache and everything that can be cleaned with CCleaner, restarted Opera, but it still only diplayed «Page crashed» warning.
Tried to load about://extensions to deactivate all extensions, but that also just displays the error warning. Even about://blank gives the error warning.
What do I do next?
leocg Moderator Volunteer @Гость отредактировано @simoncrowder Any difference if you disable hardware acceleration? Did you try a clean profile?
Бывший пользователь отредактировано I couldn’t get to ‘disable hardware acceleration’ because opera://settings was giving a ‘page crashed’ error as well. I did check that Nividia Optimus settings were still ‘use integrated graphics’, no changes made. I was going to rename my profile folders to force Opera to create a new profile on next start, but . After restarting my computer this morning, Opera is fine again. No Problems. The old off/on Trick still works it’s magic. Very strange.
leocg Moderator Volunteer отредактировано Topic closed as solved. If in up until to a month the author needs the thread to be reopened, just report it. briefly explaining the reason.

Choki @Гость отредактировано @jimunderscorep thank for advice, i dont have any problem with ffmpeg and playing videos btw this is my error when i run in console
../../sandbox/linux/seccomp-bpf-helpers/sigsys_handlers.cc:**CRASHING**:seccomp-bpf failure in syscall 0230 CrashID=5f24df34-d22c-409e-a758-6e59c2200229
l33t4opera @Choki отредактировано l33t4opera Hi @Choki, if you update to latest Opera stable (67.0.3575.31), the issue should be gone. Otherwise, if for some reasons you don’t want to update, then to workaround it, you can use one of the switches, that are listed here.
Last Opera update crashed pages.
And the pages
Calendar do Google
https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/r WhatsApp
https://web.whatsapp.com/ When I openned this pages show me this message, Page crashed!
Like this
I removed Opera app and directories
sudo aptitude purge opera-stable rm -rf ~/.config/opera rm -rf ~/.cache/opera
And reinstalled and has a same problem. Has anyone had a problem with last Opera update +Ubuntu 20.04?
arieljuod @valdineidossantos отредактировано arieljuod I’m having the same issue I think it’s related to sound, I use this site https://jigsawpuzzles.io and when I disable the sound it stops crashing, it I enable the sound it crashes as soon as it tries to play sound. I had this also happening in twitter (after a while, I think when videos appear in the feed), google calendar, noko, youtube, whatsapp Version 99.0.4788.65
exoplanet @valdineidossantos отредактировано @valdineidossantos Same problem here, we need an urgent update now. It is not usable like this. The previous update made using screenshot utility crash the browser and this newest one made visiting pages crash the browser. Opera team is drunk or what?
myswtest @exoplanet отредактировано @exoplanet Besides the broken release (i’m currently running 99.0.4788.31 on openSuse Tumbleweed), my perception of this forum is it’s «user to user» based, with zero Opera techies participating. The best thing folks can do at this point is tap the Opera menu icon (upper left on my version), then Help -> Report An Issue. There’s also an Update And Recovery option. Personally, and my experience shows it’s better (vs Recovery) to
a) stop Opera
b) rename the:
/home//.config/
(Example: /home/myuser/.config/opera)
to something like:
/home//.config/-backup
(Example: /home/myuser/.config/opera-backup)
c) start Opera . if it’s still broken, it’s an Opera issue, and your «saved off» profile is waiting to be used again. So wait for next Upgrade, or downgrade to the working version . then rename the current
/home//.config/-backup
. back to
/home//.config/
valdineidossantos @myswtest отредактировано @myswtest I clean all the directories and reinstalled the last opera version and the issue not resolved. I tried install a older version in major release 99.xxx and have the same problem.
myswtest @valdineidossantos отредактировано @valdineidossantos So, your newest is Version:99.0.4788.65
No sure the version you reverted back to (?) For comparison, I’m currently on 99.0.4788.31 (laptop now — not sure about my desktops) and all works fine.
exoplanet @myswtest отредактировано @myswtest I am now using Opera developer version because regular Opera is unusable
Page crashed on all pages
paulcre отредактировано All pages start crashing advising it might be an extension. Any ideas why this starting happen? Opera is up-to-date and so is everything else.
cybrsaylr отредактировано cybrsaylr The last couple weeks been having this happen quite often also! Get this message with it:
All attempts to reload page fail!
You have to shutdown Opera, restart Opera again until this whole ‘Page Crashed’ sequence begins again, lately a few minutes later! This is a real pain, especially when you have several tabs open that all have to be created again and again and again! What gives.
pfmaria отредактировано Now, Almost June 2021 and this error continuing appearing, do not exist answers for possible solutions. I have reinstalled several times and the error continues. Opera for linux may does not work at all.
pmanousis отредактировано All pages started crashing after loading is finished on opensuse tumbleweed.
satourne отредактировано Hi, There is a problem with page those contain audio (tags). No more resolved on 2021/09/28 with Version :79.0.4143.72 on Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) (x86_64; Unknown) Bye.
LorenDB @pmanousis отредактировано @pmanousis I’m having pages crash as well on Tumbleweed since I did some upgrade stuff to my system (e.g. Reddit won’t stay up for more than a few seconds). If this persists very much longer, I’m going to open another, newer thread until this is fixed. Also, @pmanousis, could you post your Opera version? I checked and I’m only on 79.0.4143.22 as opposed to @satourne’s 79.0.4143.72. I assume you would have patch 22 as well, but just wanted to make sure.
pmanousis @satourne отредактировано @satourne should I try to find any previous version that has no issues, or wait for any update, or anything else? Also, thank you very much for the really fast reply!
satourne @pmanousis отредактировано @pmanousis
It seems that there are problems since several month, some people said that it comes with media files or a tierce application like media players .
Opera is based on chromium and I haven’t problem of that type. No more with others browsers .
It’s a pity cause it was my favorite !
Very fast browsing and good performances with advanced CSS and HTML . Good luck.
Corey04 отредактировано For me It’s not just opera It’s chrome as well but Microsoft Edge is working fine for me, the problem is so annoying I can’t even watch Youtube the video just starts freezing and glitches and then when I try refreshing It just crashes and then more crashing and also when I am typing this down the texts getting glitchy — _-

Hmmmm, it works for me on Chrome But it’s a stable version (Version 94.0.4606.71 (Build officiel) (64 bits)) . Everything is about details .
satourne отредактировано Hey, Pages stop to crash with :
opera-developer_81.0.4196.0_amd64.deb
opera-beta_80.0.4170.11_amd64.deb (no sounds or wait it in some cases) You should try to find them here :
https://www.opera.com/fr/computer/beta or enter «opera dev» in Google Search to find a page . HAGD
LorenDB @satourne отредактировано @satourne: some of us are on openSUSE Tumbleweed instead of Debian- or Ubuntu-based distros, so the .deb files simply won’t really work for us. However, there are .rpm files available, so I downloaded and installed the beta version, and lo and behold, it worked! So now I just need to either (a) migrate all my Opera settings to the beta browser and use that until 80.x is released or (b) just continue limping along with Edge until 80.x is released.
pmanousis @LorenDB отредактировано @lorendb There is an option to download rpm in the webpage that @satourne mentioned! I tried it and it works. The link is here: https://download.opera.com/download/get/?partner=www&opsys=Linux&product=Opera+beta&package=RPM
By the way, there were no issues with chromium in my pc, in contrast to what @Corey04 said.
LorenDB отредактировано It looks like 80.x has been released, so I’ll just wait for openSUSE to release a build of 80.x.
LorenDB @LorenDB отредактировано . and openSUSE has gotten 80.x out! Unfortunately, the libffmpeg version was mismatched, so Opera wouldn’t start. I fixed it by copying the libffmpeg from my Opera Beta install to my Opera Stable install.
