Than bind the controller to the spark again ; see the manual.

But first read the manual and see some video how to do it.

Updating works better with the DJI assistent 2 on the PC.

No need to connect to the spark as you have a controller.
Controller is linked to the Spark, use the controller wifi (pw 12341234)

I cant link the drone to the controller, ive tried using what the video suggested but it continuously beeps and just fails

Your in a CE area so your drone is restricted to 500 metres in 2.4ghz 300 metres in 5.8ghz if signal is getting low you will see it on your telemetry top of your screen measured by graph. If you lose signal for more than 3 seconds you Aircraft will go into RTH mode if you regain signal you will notification if you want to cancel.
