Но даже так Wi-Fi 6 обеспечивает значительно более высокую стабильность подключения и и более широкий канал связи для каждого устройства в сети благодаря продвинутым алгоритмам построения очередей, 10-битной кодировке сигнала и большему количеству субчастот. Номинально, по скорости он мало отличается от Wi-Fi 5 ГГц (802.11aс), но фактически скорость увеличивается благодаря уменьшению помех и конфликтов при передаче данных между роутером и устройством.

Главная отличительная черта Bluetooth 5.1 — упрощённое взаимораспознавание устройств и точное (до 1 см) позиционирование подключённых устройств. Теоретически, PS5 сможет точно определять, где находится контроллер или быстро автоматически распознавать фирменную беспроводную периферию и подключаться к ней.

В заявке не указан список поддерживаемых кодеков — для подключения гарнитуры для игр без задержек звука по Bluetooth, консоль и гарнитура должны поддерживать кодек AptX Low Latency или его аналог. Появится ли он в PS5 — скорее всего станет известно только ближе к выходу в конце 2020 года.
