Bluetooth not working (Qualcomm Atheros AR9485)

Post by jsaturno » Sat Feb 28, 2015 7:03 am

I am using Linux Mint 17.1 and my WiFi connections works perfectly but the bluetooth is not working. I have tried may things but not really successfully. Anybody here dealing with a similar problem or can help me to solve it?

I don’t see any device in lsusb that would cause it to load. Blacklist ath3k and reboot, then run lsusb command again

echo "blacklist ath3k" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/ath3k.conf

I know some of these devices will change their ID’s when firmware is loaded by ath3k and btusb will usually be listed also for loaded bluetooth modules, so if we stop ath3k, we might see the original ID of the bluetooth device
