How could I set the WIFI connection on 2.4GHz or 5GHz on the Raspberry PI 4?
I want to know how to select the WIFI setting (2.4GHz or 5GHz),
how to recognize whether this selection is applied normally.

Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
You need to set the scan frequencies.
The alternative is to give your 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks different SSIDs.

Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
Be aware that the Pi Zero W doesn’t have a 5GHz frequency.
Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
I have the Raspberry PI 4.
Thanks for your concerning.

Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
Of course, you could just set two different SSIDs on your router, one for each frequency band, and then connect to whichever one you want.
Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
I want to test the WIFI mode(2.4GHz / 5GHz) with Raspberry PI 4.
How could I select the WIFI frequency(2.4GHz or 5GHz) on GUI Level?

If the Raspberry PI 4 only detects the 5G, what should I set to detect the 2.4GHz WIFI?

Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
There is not any WIFI without 5G logo on the Raspberry PI 4.
(PC and SmartPhone detect the 2.4G WIFI without 5G logo)
So I think that the Raspberry PI 4 doesn’t detect the 2.4GHz WIFI.
Thanks for your concerning.

do you have 2.4g wifi setup on your router?
your router should be setup to broadcast an ssid for 2.4g network & another to broadcast ssid for 5g under a different name.
2.4g has a longer reach but is slower.
5g has a short reach but is faster
what exactly are you testing?
example of how it uses 2 different names:

Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
It sounds like you have a modern router, they usually have Band Steering* now and all WiFi is under the same name.
Increasingly you cannot turn this off to switch it to split frequencies, especially in consumer product.
For example TP-Link Deco range (excellent devices by the way, at least the S4’s)
Both devices negotiate the best connection, move further away and it may drop to 2.4GHz bands.
Or look at the advice above to restrict connection channels on the Pi’s wpa_. file.
But do have a look to see if you can temporarily disable it on the WiFi AP/Router, or better see if you can create a Guest SSID with just 2.4GHz, leaving everything else well alone.
*They may have their own trendy name for this.

or if you have a mesh network, which is what i use. mine is mesh network-> router. it also just uses 1 ssid for both 2.4g & 5g selecting the best.
the router i have is from spectrum internet, which has very limited settings, so i basically just run through it from my mesh network, which i loop to my rpi0w for adblock on the network.
Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
But I think that I don’t explain my situation exactly.
I have two sd card images.
One is simple for testing, not detecting the 5G WIFI.(detecting 2.4G WIFI)
Another is for our mass product, install many applications and system configuration, now detecting the 2.4G and 5G WIFI.
I don’t know why there is this difference between two images.
I want that the simple image detects the 5G WIFI.

I just checked on one of my Pi4B4s. I can seen both 5GHz and 2.4GHz SSIDs. I can tell because the first one ends in 5 and the other ends in 2. The one ending in 5 has a 5G icon. the other one doesn’t.

Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
Try setting your country code again?
have a look in wpa_supplicant.conf and see if there are any differences
Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
I have found the difference between two images in connection with recognizing WIFI.
The country of the simple image is US.
I have changed the country setting, now detect the 5G and 2.4G WIFI
I don’t know why the action differs according to the country setting.
Re: How to set the WIFI 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
I don’t know why the action differs according to the country setting.
Different countries use different frequencies because the various legal regulations that assign the frequencies for different purposes are not the same across the world.
Having different countries set up in the pi and the access point could mean they use different frequencies. If they don’t match the wifi will not work.
From what you write it looks like you are in KR and The US and KR uses the same freqs for 2.4Ghz but not 5Ghz
You should always use the setting for the country you are in.

Raspberry pi 3 wifi 5 ггц
Found the Pi3 network screen only shows WIFI 2.4 G available for connection, how do I get WIFI 5G’s connection (which is already available & shown in my notebook) ?
If WIFI is not possible, cable connection from Pi3 to router will get similar speed of WIFI 5G?

Re: WIFI 2.4G & WIFI 5G connection for Pi3
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPi OS Bullseye w/ Desktop OS.
Re: WIFI 2.4G & WIFI 5G connection for Pi3
The built-in ethernet port on RPis which have one is 100 Mbit/s maximum. In reality it connects to the CPU via a USB hub and thence to the single USB2.0 port on the Broadcom SoC. That hub also connects the 2 or 4 USB ports to the SoC.
It has been reported that using an USB3 to Gigabit/s ethernet adaptor can give a useful speed increase but will be markedly short of 1 Gbit/s due to several factors, not least the 480 Mbit/s maximum throughput rate of USB2.0.

Re: WIFI 2.4G & WIFI 5G connection for Pi3
Is your router set up to use both 20 and 40MHz channel bandwidth? 20MHz will max out at 65Mbps, while 40 will do 150Mbps, which is actually faster than the wired Ethernet port (not counting the higher wireless overhead). If you have a lot of other 2.4GHz traffic in your area, then your router may fallback to 20Mhz.
As others have said, the Pi3’s wireless chip only supports 2.4GHz, so unless you can get reliable connections at 40MHz bandwidth on 2.4Ghz you are SOL. Of course this assumes your ISP is giving you Internet speed greater than 65Mbps. I’m on 30/5 FiOS and my Pi3 can max my bandwidth on wireless (29+ Mbps), so if you don’t have 100Mbps or faster Internet it may be moot.
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren’t responding,
lots of pop-ups, and where is that annoying music coming from?
