Realtek 8811cu linux mint
Предыстория : Первоначально этот usb-свисток был установлен на мой старый комп на базе LM19.3 на платформе AM2 и прекрасно установилось и работало. Далее я переехал на новый комп , без проблем система запустилась на том же SSD , ну и тоже все работает .

По поводу Secury Boot — как такового в BIOS этого нет, есть только LAUNCH CSM , который я пробовал ставить и Enabe и Disable. Нашел такую команду mokutil

I have recently bought a usb wifi adapter as my current network card does not get any 5Ghz signal. I used to run on windows 10 so no issue to install the driver. But I got fed up of win10 as quite slow on my laptop. So i have decided to install linux mint 19.3 with cinnamon desktop in dual boot (just in case something went wrong with linux). I am a linux newbie by the way, so i did plenty of command without knowing or understanding what i was doing. But i have learnt a lot while doing it.
I have tried to install the driver on linux but it does not work. I have followed many instructions such as the ones found on this forum, https://github.com/brektrou/rtl8821CU, https://github.com/whitebatman2/rtl8821CU, and others.
i get the following when the dongle is not plugged:

So why the 0bda:1a2b changed to 0bda:c811 ?
I have done all the different installations from various websites but nothing happened. The LED from the dongle is still not flashing..
I have literally spent 3 days on that without success..
please help me
PS: the description said it does not support linux. I bought it prior knowing i would install linux on my laptop.
