How to Update RT3070 Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

• In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
2. Select the Driver tab.
3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.

Заметка Помощь по установке рабочих драйверов для Wi-Fi адаптера с чипом Ralink RT3070L

Всем привет, дорогие друзья. Сегодня я решил поделиться с вами неким опытом, приобретённым самолично на днях.

Заказал я себе недавно с Алика китайский Wi-Fi адаптер — реплику знаменитого свистка Alfa на чипе Ralink RT3070L. Перед заказом, порывшись на разных форумах и ознакомившись с таблицей хорошо подходящих адаптеров для обучения пентестингу под Kali Linux, и другие схожие операционные системы, я твёрдо решил — это то, что мне необходимо. Было много хороших комментариев и отличных отзывов об этой незаменимой вещи — «Всё заводится с коробки и т.д.» И вот, наконец-то дождавшись это чудо — я решил незамедлительно его опробовать.

При подключении к ПК он действительно завёлся с тычка, сразу же показалось довольно-таки немалое количество беспроводных сетей, что очень порадовало. Я думаю, что этому ещё и способствует неплохая антенна на 5dbi. Хотя старый свисток от TP-LINK был тоже с антенной — но выдавал сетей раза в три меньше. Конечно же я решил протестировать новинку и на деле в
Kali. Но так как менял некое время назад и железо на компе — пришлось всё ставить с нуля. И вот тут-то начинается самое интересное.

Загрузившись на виртуалке, я конечно же первым делом сделал то, что на мой взгляд должен был сделать любой, кто так или иначе, хотя бы раз связывался с Linux — это установить пакеты и обновить систему всеми нами любимой sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y , так сказать что бы жилось спокойнее. После успешной обновки системы естественно перезагрузил машину и решил проверить обнаруживаются ли сети wifi — при первом нажатии на Network показало сети и я обрадовался, но видать это был глюк непонятно с чем связанный. Но я пока этого ещё не знал. И тут я двинулся в сторону уже нам известного и полюбившегося WiFite. Запустив данный инструмент, я обнаружил, что сети сканирует, и вроде бы всё в порядке, но вспомнив о проблемах адаптера-предшественника решил проверить его ещё раз и перезапустил wifite — а вот тут-то всё и стало клином. Сети не находятся и Te просто завис без каких-либо ошибок, хотя и показал, что он уже готов к бою — режим монитора включён.

Я подумал, что это возможно из-за отсутствия некоторых зависимостей, которых не хватает для правильной работы — хотя раньше всё и так работало корректно. Но всё же я исполнил пожелания друга и всё установил)

Но ничего не изменилось, кроме того, что утилита сказала «Wi-Fi адаптер не отвечает». После повторения нескольких раз запуска я подумал установить свежую версию этой же программы с GitHub — но и она мне отвечала тем же. И тут я задумался, а не насвистели ли мне китайцы про все режимы этой сетевой карты? Ко всему я решил посмотреть а отображаются ли сети в менеджере и очень огорчился увидев это. как я говорил ранее адаптер просто глюканул с первого подключения и показал сети WiFi, но больше он этого делать не собирался.

Но руки я не стал опускать, а стал искать причины и подсказки на разных уголках просторов интернета. Где то было сказано что адаптер на данном чипе будет работать только если Kali будет стоять как основная система, а не на виртуалке — не помогло, как и загрузка её с life-флешки. Один хороший человек с нашего любимого форума Codeby подсказал мне установить другую операционку под название Parrot — она мне кстати приглянулась, и с ней я тоже решил познакомиться, но и на ней свисточек не заработал. Вы наверное подумаете — «А чего ты не поискал дрова на GitHub или ещё где и не парил бы себе и другим мозги?». Так вот я отвечу — поискал и не мало, те что попадались были нерабочими или попросту не компилировались.

И тут меня осенило. Я вспомнил о старом добром Synaptic — менеджер пакетов с графическим интерфейсом. Для его установки вводим sudo apt-get install synaptic и подтверждаем установку нажимая Yes. После находим его и запускаем введя наш пароль суперпользователя. В самом установщике я вбил в поиск название своего чипа, а именно «ralink» и отыскал один пакет, по всему видимо содержащий уже имеющиеся драйвера для различного вида устройств.

Нажав на этот пакет выбираю обновить.

После чего перезагрузил виртуалку — и вы бы знали какова была моя радость после того, как я увидел отображающиеся беспроводные сети.

Естественно я поэкспериментировал и с инструментами для пентестинга, такими как тот же wifite и fluxion, и всё работало бесподобно. Надеюсь, данная статья поможет начинающим и не только.
