Samsung CLX-3170 Driver

This machine uses a color laser-beam printing technology while the print resolution is 2400 x 600 dpi at maximum. It supports SPL-C, which is peculiar to Samsung printers but also has excellent properties. For a start, the printing speed is 16 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome and on an A4. However, when the letter-size paper is in use, the rate of print is up to 17 ppm. However, for color printing, the rate is 4 ppm for both letter and A4 sizes.

The operating system versions that work suitably for this machine include Windows 2000, XP, 2003, and Vista. Apart from Windows OS, the other compatible versions include Linux, SuSE, and Macintosh. As a means of connectivity, the options are hi-speed USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100 Base-TX (the embedded type). The resolution of Samsung CLX-3170 printer depends on the scan option or feature, such as TWAIN, WIA, amidst other properties. As a result, TWAIN and WIA standard modes has a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). When users scan, the options may include scan to mail, or scan to USB, with compatible formats. The acceptable formats may include PDF, BMP, TIFF, and JPEG. Furthermore, the speed zoom range can reduce to 25% minimum and 100 % result ion percentage.

Users should take note that the copy range for this machine during the copying process is between 25 and 400%. The Samsung CLX-3170 printer also has an automatic document feeder (ADF), which supplies more papers to the input tray. Also, it retains the same zoom range as loading papers from the main input tray. Data coding involves MH, MMR, MR, JBIG, and JPEG formats without compromising the output quality.
