I have managed to get into the developer options on this phone but the Codec choice is stuck on SBC. There are other Codec options , APTX, LDAC, Scalable, but I cant select them. Does this mean that the only codec on the phone is SBC? thanks

Hi, you can only select the other codec choice when the bluetooth device is connected. I have sony headphones that support ldac but wasn’t able to select ldac until my headphones were connected.

Hi I just got the whxm4s on my s20fe 5G, but when I got to activate LDAC it shows LDAC but it goes back to AAC when I go back and look at it. The sony headphones app also shows it’s still on AAC, do u guys have any solution for this? Thanks.

I have the same with my A10 and now A13. LDAC is not greyed out, my receiver uses it, but it will only go to AptX. Driving me nuts. After a long online chat, I was told 5g needed, not 4g. I cannot see how that is relevant. They have mis-sold this phone to me BECAUSE they dont describe Codecs in their Spec. They really must do; it’s crucial!

I contacted Samsung and have spoken to 5 different people. Nobody knows the answer or how to obtain it. It was suggested i send my brand new phone off for technical examination, lol
I contacted Oneplus and Motorola with same questions when I considered their phones. Got a reply with information in under 2 hours from each.
It defies belief that a phone for use with wireless headphones doesn’t have a spec to state the codecs it supports so you can match up the right headphones and get the audio quality you want.
